🏃‍♀️ ALBU-QUIRKY RUN

The inaugural Albu-Quirky Run is an event you won’t want to miss! Whether you run or walk the 8K, 5K, or Kids K, this event is perfect! It starts and finishes at Tiguex Park. All participants receive a custom finisher medal and event tee shirt. Age group and overall awards will be presented at the finish.

• Date: March 2, 2025
• Location: Tiguex Park, 1800 Mountain Rd. NW, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87104
• Start Times:
  • 8K: 10:00 A.M.
  • 5K: 10:10 A.M.
  • Kids K: 11:10 A.M.
• Packet Pickup: March 1, 2025, 11:00 to 3:00 p.m. at HEART AND SOLE SPORTS, 2817 San Mateo Blvd. NE, Albuquerque NM 87110

🚗 PARKING

• Availability: Parking is available on the west side of Tiguex Park and Explora Museum.
• Restrictions: NO PARKING ON THE COURSE: 19TH STREET, MOUNTAIN ROAD, OLD TOWN ROAD.
• Access: East side of 18th and 20th Street next to Tiguex Park.

✅ RACE-DAY INFORMATION

• Registration: Race-day registration is available: however, all pre-registered participants must pick up their event packets at “Packet Pickup.”
• Timing: This race is a Gun Start with a Timing Chip/Bib finish.
• Conduct: Participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally and courteously towards the community and fellow participants.

👩‍⚕️ MEDICAL SUPPORT

• Availability: Medical staff members will be ready to assist at any time.
• Protocol: Event officials may withdraw any runner from the race that appears distressed or at risk.
• Hydration: Please hydrate throughout the day and at the water stations along the course.

🏆 Awards

• Overall Prizes: Awarded to the top three men and women determined by gun time for both 8K and 5K.
• Age Group Prizes: Given to the top three finishers in each age category for men and women in both events.
• Kids K: All registered participants (11 and under) will receive a special recognition award.

📨 RESULTS AND RESULTS POSTING

Results will be posted at www.irunfit.org.

📝 FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

• Headphones: Yes, participants may run with headphones.
• GPS Devices: GPS watches/devices are allowed but will not be recognized as official times.
• Baby Joggers: Allowed if registered at the event and behind all other runners.
• Dogs: No pets allowed at the event.
