PLEASE USE DESIGNATED PARKING AREAS ONLY. DO NOT PARK ON LOMA COLORADO ROADS, SIDEWALKS, OR PEDESTRIAN BIKE PATHS. NOTE: AVAILABLE PARKING AT RIO RANCHO AQUATIC CENTER, RIO RANCHO HIGH SCHOOL PERFORMING ARTS CENTER (BEST PLACE FOR ALL 10K PARTICIPANTS β NEXT TO START), RIO RANCHO LIBRARY (JUST EAST OF RR AQUATIC CENTER). NOTE: NO PARKING ON THE WEST SIDE OF LOMA COLORADO PARK (FINISH).
Note: 10K and 4-Miler. The START of the 4-Miler is across Loma Colorado Blvd. and Loma Colorado Park. The START of the 10K is just north of the Rio Rancho Aquatic Center. Please remain on the sidewalk β off the road β until the race director signals you to line up at the start. 4-Mile participants, please use extreme caution crossing Loma Colorado Park. Volunteers will help you cross. See Course Maps and course links to route(s) below. All races will start promptly at the designated times listed above. Allow plenty of time to get to the Start to seed yourself according to your projected pace if you are driving to the race, plan to arrive early. See parking information above. This race is a Gun Start with a Timing Chip finish. The "official time" will start when the gun/horn goes off.
Medical staff members will be ready to assist you at any time. Radio communications personnel will be positioned at every aid/water station along the course. The event officials have the right to withdraw any runner from the race that appears distressed or at risk. If you need help at any point, please ask for it! If you have a health or medical problem at the Finish Line, you will be directed to the Medical Area⦠RR Aquatic Center. Please cooperate if you are asked to go for a checkup.
