Kick off your Independence Day with the Red, White, and Blue Run on Friday, July 4, 2026!

• Race Types: 10K, 4-Mile Run/Walk, 2-Mile Walk, Kids K
• Location: Rio Rancho Aquatic Center/Loma Colorado Park, 745 Loma Colorado NE, Rio Rancho, New Mexico 87124
• Event Schedule:
  • 10K: 8:00 a.m.
  • 4-MILER: 8:05 a.m.
  • 2-MILE WALK: 8:05 a.m.
  • KIDS K: 9:15 a.m.
• Packet Pickup: July 3, 2026, 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Fleet Feet (Westside)

AWS AND MEDALS

All participants receive a great event T-shirt and finisher medal, with awards for overall and age group winners.

SUPPORT INITIATIVES

Proceeds support RunFit youth running programs and the Fifteen and Fit school fitness initiative, helping keep kids active and healthy.

COURSE MONITORING

• Start Location: Located next to the Rio Rancho Aquatic Center and Loma Colorado Park.
• Timing Chip: Must be worn by all participants in the 10K and 4-Mile for results eligibility.
• Obedience: Participants must follow instructions from all Event officials.
• Behavior: Alcohol consumption, public urination, and obstruction are prohibited.

PARTICIPANT SAFETY

• Wheeled Devices: Only authorized wheelchairs and course marshals are allowed.
• Medical Support: Medical staff will assist participants during the race.
• Dismissing Officials: Follow orders from officials to ensure safety.
• Liability: Participants assume all medical expenses related to the Event.

RESULT TIMING

• Timing Device: Assigned to each participant and must be worn for accuracy.
• Disqualification: Wearing multiple timing devices will result in removal from results.
• Official Times: Appeals for unofficial times must be submitted within three days.
• Start Time: Participants must begin at the recognized start time for an official finish time.

PARKING INFORMATION

PLEASE USE DESIGNATED PARKING AREAS ONLY. Do not park on roads, including Loma Colorado Blvd. Available parking at the Rio Rancho Aquatic Center, Loma Colorado Park, Rio Rancho Library, and Rio Rancho High School Performing Arts Center.

BATHROOM FACILITIES

Located at Loma Colorado Park (Portable Toilets).

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

• Headphones: Yes, you may run with headphones.
• GPS Devices: Yes, but they won't be considered timing devices.
• What is NOT Allowed: Video devices, skateboards, unauthorized bicycles, etc.
• Babies: Joggers allowed if kept at the back.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

Weather will be monitored closely. Updates and potential changes will be communicated on the RunFit website and via email.

MEDICAL SUPPORT

Medical staff will be prepared to assist at all times and may remove runners from the race for their safety.

FINISH INFORMATION

• Awards Ceremony: Announcements will be made for overall and division winners immediately following each event.
• Post-Race: Refreshments will be provided at the park.
• Results: Available on the RunFit website.
