🍪 CRAVIN' COOKIES RUN

Register now for the Craving Cookies Run, featuring a 5K run or walk, a Kids K, and a virtual run or walk! Mariposa Basin Park is the perfect setting for this fun-filled event. Participants will receive awards for different age groups and overall winners, as well as an event t-shirt and medals for everyone. Plus, enjoy delicious cookies at the finish line! Don’t forget to spread the word to your friends and family, especially if they love cookies!

🗓️ EVENT SCHEDULE

Date: April 27, 2025
5K Run/Walk Start: 10:00 a.m.
Kids K Start: 11:00 a.m.
Note: We will start on time. You must be at the start of your event 10-15 minutes prior to the above start times.

📦 PACKET PICKUP AND LATE REGISTRATION

Packet Pickup Date: April 26, 2025

Time: 11:00-3:00 P.M.

Location: Fleet Feet Sports, North Towne Plaza, 5901 Wyoming Suite R, Albuquerque NM 87109

Please note: Race-day registration is available: however, all pre-registered participants are highly encouraged to pick up their event packets at "Packet Pick-Up". If you cannot pick up your packets in person, you must arrange for a representative to do so.

🚨 EVENT DAY GUIDELINES

All participants are expected to conduct themselves professionally and courteously towards the community and their fellow participants during the Event. This means, for example:

Prohibition: Alcohol consumption, urinating or defecating in public except in designated toilet facilities.
Compliance: Follow instructions from all Event officials.
Health Guidelines: Must adhere to city, state, and other public health guidelines.
Participation: Sick participants should not attend the Event.

🏃‍♂️ COURSE MONITORING

Any participant who refuses to obey the directions of Event officials or conducts themselves in an unsportsmanlike manner may be disqualified. Important points include:

No Coaching: Assistance from non-officials is prohibited.
Fair Competition: Cutting the course will result in disqualification.
Bib Number: Each participant must wear their assigned bib number visibly.
No Unauthorized Participants: Only registered participants are allowed on the course.

💼 PARTICIPANT SAFETY

Wheeled Devices: Strictly limited to authorized wheelchair participants.
Medical Personnel: Authorized medical personnel may check on participants.
Weather Protocol: Officials may delay or cancel the event due to inclement weather.
Liability: Participants assume liability for medical expenses incurred.

⏱️ RESULT TIMING

Timing Device: Each participant is assigned an electronic timing device attached to their bib.
Proper Use: The timing device must be worn continuously from start to finish.
Timing Disqualifications: Wearing multiple devices may result in disqualification.
Start Time Compliance: Participants must begin during the officially recognized start time.

🅿️ PARKING

Please use designated parking areas only. Do not park on roads, sidewalks, or pedestrian bike paths. Note: Available parking at Mariposa Basin Park.

🚻 FACILITIES

Restrooms: Bathrooms are available near the start/finish.
Event Start: Participants must be on the field by 9:45 a.m. for the 10:00 a.m. start.
Finish Area: All participants will finish on the Mariposa Basin Park Field.
Kids K: Starts and finishes on the field.

🎽 RACE REQUIREMENTS

Each participant will receive a Race (Bib/Timing Chip) number that must be worn on race day. Your bib number must be visible and worn just above your waist on the front of all clothing during the entire race. Bib numbers are non-transferable and MUST be worn by the runner to whom it is assigned.

❓ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Headphones: Yes, participants may run with headphones.
GPS Devices: GPS watches/devices are allowed but will not be counted as official times.
Course Restrictions: No video devices or unauthorized wheeled devices are allowed.
Joggers: Baby joggers are allowed: you must register your child for a Rider Bib.

🌧️ INCLEMENT WEATHER

Weather forecasts will be monitored prior to the event. If necessary, athletes will be informed of weather conditions via email. The Race Director will monitor the situation and may cancel or postpone the race as needed.

🚑 MEDICAL SUPPORT

Medical staff will be available to assist during the event. If you need help at any point, please ask for it. If you are unable to finish the race, notify a race official of your bib number.

🏅 FINISH INFORMATION

All participants will finish on the Mariposa Basin Park Field. The overall and division award winners will be announced immediately following the Kids K.

🍪 POST-RACE REFRESHMENTS

Post-race refreshments, including cookies, will be available near the finish.

📝 RESULTS

Results will be posted immediately after the event near the finish as well as online at: www.irunfit.org.
