🏃♂️ Race Overview
CELEBRATE SUPER BOWL with a 5K or Half Marathon OR... A HEALTHY HEART Valentine's theme with THE HEART Run 5k or Half Marathon 13.1. THIS IS THE ONE AND ONLY FEBRUARY FESTIVAL RACE where you get to PICK your THEME!
🎖️ Race Amenities
- Bib and Shirt: You will get a bib and a 5K shirt or half hoodie, and get a medal that matches the theme of your choice.
- Awards: Both themes run the 5K or HALF at the same time and are combined for one set of age division awards for the 5K.
- Expo: The expo is set up with a football section and a "full of heart" section.
- Activities: There is even a make your own valentine card station, and a make a Super Bowl winning team and score prediction station.
🍔 Food Options
Also available as an add-on: A $6 food voucher ticket. This can get street tacos, tamales, a drink, and a tamale or a coffee drink from the coffee stand. Or you can bring cash for race morning.
🚗 Parking Information
Remember to also have $15 cash on hand if you are coming in the State Park gate to park. We encourage carpools. There is free parking throughout Sunset Beach if you are willing to jog east and into that last LOT 25 on the corner of Warner and PCH. No car entrance is available at that far corner. All vehicles coming into the Bolsa Chica State Park must come in the main gate in the mid-section.
🕒 Race Day Schedule
- 6:30 AM: RACE DAY REGISTRATION begins
- 7:00 AM to 11 AM: FEBRUARY FESTIVAL EXPO
- 8:00 AM: START of the HEART RUN HALF MARATHON
- 9:00 AM: Start of the SUPER BOWL 5K, HEART 5K RUN
🏆 Awards
- 5K RUN/WALK: Age Group Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd TOP Overall Male/Female Trophy by age group.
- HALF MARATHON: Age Group Awards for Half Marathon 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Top Overall Male/Female Trophy by age group.
📅 Early Packet Pick-Up
- Date: Thursday, February 6th, 3pm to 6pm. There is NO FRIDAY packet pick up.

🏅 Finishing and Extras
HALF MARATHON gets long sleeve ZIP up or PULL over HOODIES for the HALF MARATHON that say FINISHER on them. Medals help commemorate FEBRUARY themes. Cheering you on into the finish is the CDM Middle School Cheerleaders. MAKE GOALS for yourself in February.
EXTRA SHIRTS and MEDALS are available if you WANT BOTH. $15 short sleeve. $20 hoodies. $10 a medal.

🚻 Facilities
RESTROOMS are provided by the STATE PARK and are located on the FAR ends of lot 25. Plan on taking a few minutes to venture to them.
