Memorial Day 5k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon

🏅 Event Overview

ABWR has teamed up with two local charities to help with fire relief efforts. Portion of proceeds will go to California Community Foundation and Pasadena Humane Society.

It's time for our Memorial Day 5k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon fun run/walk!!!

🕗 Check-in and Start Times

• Check-in: 7-7:30AM for everyone
• Start: 7:30AM
• Half Marathon Cut-off: 10:45AM, option to start early to finish by 10:45AM, please email for early start at abetterworldrunning@gmail.com
• Address: Please check in at the tables closest to 54th Place, at the start of the beach path. NOT near Claremont Ave. Long Beach path in Belmont Shores -- 5400 E. Ocean Blvd. Long Beach, CA 90803 (off of 54th Place and Ocean Blvd.) * do not use Apple Maps app as a GPS, use the Google Maps or Waze app.

🚻 Event Details

• Parking: PLEASE PLAN ON CARPOOLING AND GETTING THERE EARLY TO FIND PARKING AND USE THE RESTROOM. Bring toilet paper just in case as the beach restrooms are not always fully stocked that early in the morning.
• Course Information: All participants will have their results posted with their names and times. FREE pictures for everyone posted on our Facebook page after the event!
• Pacers: Pacers and crew are welcome at any time. There are numerous restrooms and water fountains along the course.
• Routes:
  • 5k out and back route: Link
  • 10k: 2 x 5k loops
  • 15k: 3 x 5k loops
  • Half Marathon: 3 x 4.36 mi loop: Link

🎖️ Finisher Awards

• Medals: ALL finishers get a medal.
• Results Posting: All results will be posted after the event on our website usually the evening of the event on www.abetterworldrunning.com.
• Photos: Free photos are posted on our Facebook page -- www.facebook.com/abetterworldrunning.
• Experience: We emphasize a more relaxed, fun and personal racing experience!
