Join the Seashore Striders for an oldie but goodie- The Bill Degnan 5k. The 3rd event in the popular Seashore Strider Championship Series, this year's Bill Degnan 5k will be held on the Cape Henlopen High School Campus. The Bill Degnan 5k is a flat & fast course through the campus on a mix of track, road and grass named in honor of the late Bill Degnan, coach, teacher & friend at Cape Henlopen.

💰 Race Registration

• Early Bird: $25.00 until June 1st at midnight
• Race Week: $30.00 through June 7th at 10 pm
• Race Day: $35.00 from 6:30 am - 7:20 am on site
• Registration Options: Online and Mail-in registration available

• The annual Bill Degnan Scholarship presented to a Cape Henlopen High School Senior Track & Field/XC member

🏁 Race Course

• The course will leave CHHS Track & Field Stadium and loop the campus basically twice before entering the stadium and finishing in the same location.
• The course is a mixture of road, grass & track surface.

🚫 Course Guidelines

• Restrictions: Bikes, bandits (non-registered runners), and headphones/ear pods in both ears.
• Only wear headphones in one ear at a low volume level.

⏱️ Race Timing

• Timing will be done by the Seashore Strider Event Production team using the Chronotrack B Chip system.

🎉 Race Amenities

• Finish line produced by “Seashore Strider Event Production, Inc.”
• Post-Race awards ceremony within 20 minutes following the final finisher.

🏆 Awards

• Awards will be presented to Overall Male & Female Champions and top three finishers in various age categories.
• Distributions happening within 20 minutes after the final runner crosses the finish.

💵 Refunds/Deferral

• No Refund policy: however, transfers to a future event or donations to charity are available.
• All requests must be submitted in a timely manner.
