32ND MASSER 5 MILER (SS Summer Series #1)

🎉 Welcome to the 32nd Annual Masser 5 Miler

Join the Seashore Striders for one of our longest running events at the shore- the Masser 5 Miler. Kicking off the popular Seashore Strider Championship Series of 2025, this year's Masser 5 miler will be a 'live' event. The Masser 5 miler is named after one of the founders of the Summer Championship Series, the Late Dr. Lee Masser of Crofton, MD. This flat & fast course runs mostly on bike trails through the Town of Lewes with little traffic. The race will start and finish at Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes inside Legends Stadium. Come celebrate what Doc Masser has done for Running & Racing at the Beach and join the Striders for the Masser 5 miler.

📝 Race Registration

• $30.00 "Early Bird" Race Pre-Registration: Dec. 28th, 2024 through May 18th at midnight
• $35.00 "Pre" Race Week Registration: May 19th through May 24th at 10 pm
• $40.00 "Last Chance" Race-Day Race Registration: Registration will open at 6:00 am and will close at 7:15 am
• Note: Registration will be done online through runsignup. All participants registered before Tuesday, May 20th will be guaranteed a t-shirt.

🏆 Awards

Awards will be presented to the Overall Male & Female Champions, Overall Male & Female Masters (40+ yrs.), as well as the top three (3) Male & Female finishers in various age categories. If you miss the awards ceremony, you may pick up locally in Lewes or have your award shipped for a cost of $10.

🔒 Refunds/Deferral

The Seashore Striders have a "No Refund" policy, but you can:

• Transfer: To a future Seashore Strider owned event of equal value.
• Donate: Your entry fee to the charity associated with the event.
• Defer: To the following year at the same event.

🌟 Championship Series Info

• No additional fee: There is no extra fee to enter the Championship Series.
• Qualifying: Must complete specified races to qualify.
• Standing: Determined by fastest race times.
• See standings: Posted at www.seashorestriders.com

🏃‍♀️ Race Timing

Seashore Strider Event Production Inc will use the Chronotrack B Chip which will be attached to the rear of your race bib. Please do not bend the bib at any time as it may damage the timing chip.

🚫 Course Guidelines

• Bikes: Not allowed on the course
• Bandits: Non-registered runners are not allowed
• Headphones: Disallowed in both ears

🌐 Safe Running & Racing

The Seashore Striders encourage you to run & race safely during the Masser 5 Miler. Stay more than 6' from each other if running with someone. More information can be found here.
