🏁 History
- Background: During the Summer of 2017 a public-private collaboration of business owners, Lewes citizens, and representatives of the City of Lewes decided to form an organization to bring official fireworks back to the city of Lewes.
- Purpose: We believe that safe and legal fireworks along our beach is the perfect ending to the Lewes' Old Fashioned Fourth of July festivities.
- Formation: Go Fourth! was formed to bring this to fruition and is jointly managed by the Go Fourth! committee of volunteers, the Lewes Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Lewes.
- Fundraising: Local builder Russ Palmer is again serving as the first Go Fourth! honorary chair, helping to raise funds needed for the event. Please visit the Sponsorship page for more information or to make a donation.
🎉 Welcome to the DQ Dash Race Information
We invite you to participate in the annual DQ Dash 5k. This event will benefit the Go 4th Lewes Fireworks Fundraiser. Join the Striders at DQ on Sunday, May 18th at 9 am for a fun safe 5k. Run or walk in this event for a great cause!

🏅 Registration Information
- Early Bird Entry Fee: $25 each through May 11th at midnight
- Race Week Entry Fee: $30 each through May 17th at 10 pm
- Race Day Entry Fee: $35 each from 8-8:50 am

If pre-registration increases over 200 then we will consider an early pickup on the 17th. It will be announced.

- Course Type: Fast & Flat
- Course Etiquette: ALL PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUIRED TO RUN ON THE COURSE THAT IS MARKED WITH ARROWS AND CONES. PLEASE STAY ON THE ROAD WHERE IT IS MARKED.
- Safety Rules: DO NOT RACE ON THE SIDEWALK, RUN THROUGH PRIVATE PROPERTY, OR RUN ON THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE ROAD.
- Compliance: FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE RACE INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULT IN A DISQUALIFICATION FROM THE EVENT. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION IN THIS MATTER.
