- Join us: Please join us for the 2nd Annual "Running for Africa 2024" presented by Hyundai of Decatur.
- Race Options: We will be hosting a 7K, 5K, and 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk.
- Date and Location: The event will be held on December 7th, 2024, at Jack Allen Soccer Complex, located at 2616 Modaus Road SW Decatur, Alabama 35603.
- Gates Open: The gates will open at 6:30 AM for late registrations.
💖 Our Mission
- Purpose: All proceeds will go to our organization, Archangel Group International, a Non-Profit Corporation which is a 501 C (3).
- Impact: Archangel Group International exists to restore families by combating poverty and human trafficking in Africa.
- Empowerment: The resources we provide will empower communities to be self-sustaining for years to come.
- Training: The law enforcement training we provide will bring needed skills and leadership to the local police.
📝 Registration Details
- Early Registration: Ends November 17th, 2024, at 12:00 AM.
- Freebies: Everyone that registers early for the 7K, 5K, or 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk gets a free shirt and swag bag.
- Pricing: Early registration for the 7K and 5K will be $30.00: the price increases to $35.00 afterward.
- Multiple Runs: Participants can run in both the 5K and 7K for $40.00, increasing to $45.00 after November 17th.
📥 Packet Pickup
- Date: Packet pickup will be at Cross Eyed Owl Brewery on Friday, December 6th, 2024, from 5-7 PM.
- Location: 105 1st Ave NE, Decatur, AL 35601.
- Race Day: Packet pickup will also be available on race day from 6:00 AM-7:30 AM at Jack Allen Soccer Complex.
- Race Start Times: 7K-7:30 AM, 5K-8:15 AM, 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk-9:00 AM.
👶 Age Brackets
- Categories: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 70 and up.
- Awards: Overall male and female and overall master male and female will be awarded individual trophies for the 7K and 5K Runs.
- Medals: 1st to 3rd place medals will also be awarded for each age division, male and female.
- Gratitude: We are so thankful for your support and look forward to seeing you on race day!
