🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

Come run the Rocket City Race Weekend in Huntsville, Alabama. For over 45 years the Rocket City Marathon, conducted by the Huntsville Track Club, has been a premiere marathon event in the South.

📅 Schedule of Events

• Health and Fitness Expo: Kicking off the weekend is the Health and Fitness Expo and Packet Pick Up which opens on Friday (time pending, no later than 2:00 pm). It runs through Saturday evening at 8pm.
• 10K Race: The flat, fast, and walker-friendly 10K starts on Saturday at 7am in front of the Von Braun Center, finishing at the exciting indoor finish line.
• 5K Race: The walker-friendly 5K, referred to as the "Mural Run," begins two hours after the 10K, winding past the wonderful "building art" in downtown.
• Kids Marathon: Also on Saturday, the Kids Marathon event will be held at 10:30am.

🏅 Marathon Details

• Start Time: The Front Half Marathon and Full Marathon start on Sunday at 7am, with early starters beginning at 6am.
• Course Highlights: The marathon course takes runners through Downtown, Old Town, and various other key districts, finishing at the indoor finish line.
• Post-Race Celebration: Runners enjoy delicious post-race food and complimentary post-race stretching provided by Therapy South.
• Relay Option: Gather a few friends and run a Marathon RELAY, with an option to compete in the Corporate Cup.

🎁 Participant Perks

• Registration Benefits: All registered participants will receive a registration shirt, an epic medal, post-race food, and professional photographs.
• Finisher Gifts: Marathoners and Half Marathoners will receive a finisher gift, with first-time marathoners getting a special First Timer gift.
• Challenge Gifts: Runners who register for two races will receive a "Challenge" gift, and those entering three events will get a coveted RCM hat.
• Kids Gifts: Each child running the one mile RCKM will receive a registration shirt and epic medal, and those completing 26.2 miles will receive a special 26.2 pin.
