🏁 Rocket City Marathon Race Weekend

For over 48 years, the Rocket City Marathon, organized by the Huntsville Track Club, has been one of the premier marathon events in the South.

📅 Event Schedule

• Health & Fitness Expo: Opens Friday, December 12th, at 2:00 PM and runs through Saturday, December 13th at 6:00 PM.
• 10K: Starts at 7:00 AM in front of the Von Braun Center on Monroe Street. This flat, fast, and walker-friendly course takes runners through Old Town.
• 5K: Begins at 9:00 AM, winding through Downtown Huntsville.
• 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk: Starts at 10:30 AM, offering everyone a fun and rewarding experience.

🏃‍♂️ Marathon Day

The Rocket City Marathon kicks off at 7:00 AM (with an early start at 6:00 AM for those requiring extra time).

• Course Highlights: The course showcases Huntsville’s charm, taking runners through Downtown, Old Town, the Medical District, and more.
• Scenic Stops: Runners will see the historic Train Depot, the Veteran’s Memorial, Campus 805, the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, and the Botanical Gardens.
• Indoor Finish: Finish back at the VBC, where runners will enjoy a unique indoor finish.
• Post-race Experience: Delicious post-race food and complimentary post-race stretching.

• All Registered Runners: Receive a long-sleeve race shirt, a finisher medal, post-race food, and bragging rights for completing Rocket City Marathon Race Weekend!
