🏃‍♀️ Event Overview

Amigos De Bolsa Chica, in conjunction with Bolsa Chica State Beach is hosting a run/walk/beach cleanup. The event is at Bolsa Chica State Beach, April 26, 2025, 8:00 AM.

📅 Event Categories

• 5K: A standard race distance for all levels.
• 10K: A more challenging course for seasoned runners.
• 1K Fun Run: A short and fun distance for children and families.
• Plogging: 5K and 10K options while picking up litter.

🌊 Course Features

Run and Walk along the beach on a flat and fast course. Proceeds help the Amigos de Bolsa Chica's (a 501c3 non-profit established in 1976) efforts to offer environmental leadership roles to all by providing community-based education programs centered on the Bolsa Chica that create greater awareness of coastal California's threatened biodiversity.

🏞️ Family-Friendly Expo

There is a family-friendly expo at the basketball courts with demonstrations, showcasing what Amigos de Bolsa Chica is all about. Look at Bolsa Chica water samples through microscopes, learn about the wetlands and the birds that visit there, and explore what we can do to protect the environment and the wildlife of the wetlands.

🕖 Event Schedule

Check in begins at 7 AM at the basketball courts at Bolsa Chica State Beach. The 5K and 10K begin at 8 AM. The Kids fun run starts at 9 AM.

🎽 Race Day Perks

• Fast Course: All-American, flat and fast race course.
• Timing: Chip timing for 5K and 10K run and plogging (not for the kids fun run).
• Race T-Shirts: Guaranteed only for pre-registration by March 15.
• Participation Medal: Awarded at the finish line.
• Parking: Free parking at Bolsa Chica State Beach when in parking lot before 8 AM. ($15 dollar value)
