Summer Fun 5k, 10k, 15k, Half Marathon

🏅 Event Overview

ABWR has teamed up with two local charities to help with fire relief efforts. Portion of proceeds will go to California Community Foundation (https://www.calfund.org/) and Pasadena Humane Society. (https://pasadenahumane.org/)

• Date: 2025-08-17
• Location: 5400 E Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, CA
• Check-in: 7-7:30 AM for everyone
• Race Start: 7:30 AM

⏱️ Half Marathon Information

Half marathon cut off 10:45 AM, option to start early to finish by 10:45 AM, please email for early start at abetterworldrunning@gmail.com.

📍 Check-in Location

Please check in at the tables closest to 54th Place, at the start of the beach path. NOT near Claremont Ave. Long Beach path in Belmont Shores -- 5400 E. Ocean Blvd. Long Beach, CA 90803 (off of 54th Place and Ocean Blvd.). Please do not use Apple Maps app as a GPS, use the Google Maps or Waze app. There is a photo of the map on the website -- www.abetterworldrunning.com.

🚻 Event Logistics

• Parking: Please plan on carpooling and getting there early to find parking and use the restroom.
• Restroom Supplies: Bring toilet paper just in case as the beach restrooms are not always fully stocked that early in the morning.
• Post-Race: All the participants will have their results posted with their names and times. And FREE pictures for everyone posted on our Facebook page after the event.
• Course Amenities: Numerous restrooms and water fountains will be available along the course.

👶 Stroller Policy

Running/walking with a stroller is allowed. There is a 3:15 time limit for the half marathon. If more time is needed, please email us at abetterworldrunning@gmail.com for early start.

🏅 Finisher Medals and Results

ALL finishers get a medal. All results will be posted after the event on our website, usually the evening of the event on www.abetterworldrunning.com. Free photos will be posted on our Facebook page -- www.facebook.com/abetterworldrunning.
