🏃♂️ Race Overview
Join us for a Fun Run (5k, 10k or virtual run/walk) to raise crucial funds for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) in Honor of Bert Vicchio (Bertman)- race director's (Lianne Vicchio) dad. The fight to terminate blood cancer is ongoing and funds raised from the race will be donated to LLS.
📍 Location
- Where: Nimbus Fish Hatchery (American River Parkway start line- going west towards downtown Sacramento)
- Parking: Parking is free, but limited. If the lot is full, we recommend to park above the fish hatchery off of Gold Country Blvd.

- When: Saturday January 18th, 2025
- Start Time: 8:00am
🏞️ Course Description
- Type: This is an out and back course on the American River Trail starting at the Nimbus Fish Hatchery and moving West.
- Open Course: THIS COURSE IS open and available to other river parkway users. PLEASE always stay to the left as walkers/runners on the bike trail.
- Aid Stations: The aid station will be at the 10k turnaround and no aid station for the 5k course.
- Facilities: There is NO BATHROOM at race start, please plan accordingly. There is a Starbucks and a McDonald's less than a mile away. There is a bathroom on course.
🎟️ Packet/Bib Pick-up
- Pick-up Time: DAY OF ONLY. Starting at 6:45am, 1/18/25 at the Nimbus Fish Hatchery Parking lot.
- Timing: There are no official timing chips. Times will be logged manually.
- Future Plans: We hope in future years as this fundraiser grows, we will be able to add official timing to this race.
🏅 Awards and Goodies
- Goodie Bags: Goodie bags, bibs, and morning treats will be ready for you at check-in at the Nimbus Fish Hatchery parking lot.
- Medals: Medals will be awarded to all participants.
- Awards: Awards (Fleet Feet Gift cards) will be handed out for 1st place male and female in both the 5k and 10k.
- Collection: NO medals or awards will be mailed out if not collected on race day.
