🗓️ Race Day Schedule

• 6:30 am - 7:30 am: Race day registration and packet pick up
• 7:30 am: All final items dropped off for the La Ofrenda
• 8:05 am: Kids Races begin
• 8:20 am: Day of the Dead progression to starting line
• 8:30 am: Day of the Dead 5k race begins
• 9:30 am: Awards ceremony and costume contest

🏞️ 5k Course

The race kicks off with a 0.5-mile downhill through the charming Old Fair Oaks Village neighborhood and over the bridge. Following a 3.2-mile out-and-back path along the picturesque American River Trail towards Bannister Park, the course remains entirely on paved roads and trails, catering to participants of all abilities and those with strollers. The race concludes with an approximate half-mile ascent back to the finish line.

🏆 Awards & Age Divisions

Awards ceremony to follow event at 9:30 a.m. for the 5k and costume contest. Prizes for overall male and female winners will be presented. Top three finishers in each age division will receive a special prize.

• Overall Winners: Prizes for top male and female
• Age Group Prizes: Top 3 finishers receive special prizes.
• Kid Races: Top boy and girl finishers in the 1/4 and 1/2 mile races will receive a special prize.
• Gift Cards: For overall winners: 1st Place: $100 gift card, 2nd Place: $50 gift card, 3rd Place: $25 gift card.

Costume Contest:

• 1st Place: $100 gift card to Wild Runners
• 2nd Place: $50 gift card to Wild Runners
• 3rd Place: $25 gift card to Wild Runners

📜 Rules & Guidelines for all entrants*

• Bib numbers: Must not be altered and should be worn on the front of the runner.
• Runners: No unregistered runners, walkers, or pacers.
• Headphones: Wearing headphones is discouraged.
• Bicycles: Not allowed.
• Pets: Your pup is welcome to participate (always on leash after signing a waiver).
• Strollers: Welcome.
• Participation: All abilities are welcome.
• Shirts: Not guaranteed for late registration.
