Pre Reg 2026 Torrance Memorial Medical Center, BRA Run, Los Angeles

🗓️ Day of Event

Our 14th Annual 5K & 13K are held on a fully paved course next to the sand in Playa Del Rey on August 30th, 2026.

• 6:00am: Parking Lots Open (LA County charges $13, bring cash). The line backs up so arrive early.
• 7:00am: Registration and Vendor Booths Open.
• 7:05am: Warm up for Bike Tour.
• 10:10am: Awards Ceremony. Share your photos on social media! We are @brarunla and @runmercury and our official hashtag is #brarunla. We will be resharing your posts whenever we can.

🎗️ Charity

In its 14th year, The BRA Run supports Evelyn’s BFF, a charity that helps breast cancer survivors get back to their new normal while supporting counseling, reconstruction, and other items that people are often not able to get covered by their insurance. Most of our grant recipients have bills going into 6 figures!

• Founder: Evelyn, the founder of the Evelyn's Breast Friends Forever (BFF), started this event in 2013.
• Distances: 5K and 13K at the BRA Run.
• Awareness: Encouraging men and women to run and walk in their BRA (Breast Reconstruction Awareness).
• Donate: Donate to Evelyn's BFF.

🎭 Costume Contest

Dress up in celebration of the BRA Run! Our participants get creative with their attire and we have awards to celebrate. Wear a decorated bra (sports bra, lacy bra, nursing bra, any type of bra) or dress up your shirt!

• Individual Awards: Best Decorated Bra for Male and Female.
• Team Awards: Best Dressed (Teams must have 5 or more people).
• Ideas: Looking for ideas? Here are some of last year's costumes.

🏃‍♀️ Make it a Virtual Run/Walk

Can't make it in person but want to be a part of the event and support breast cancer survivors? Sign up for the virtual run and we will mail you a bib, shirt, and medal.

🏅 Beach to City Challenge

Want to nab an additional medal? Take part in the Beach to City Challenge with the Greta Garbo medal!

• Challenge: If you run both the BRA Run and Screenland 5k (in Culver City) back-to-back, you can claim this bonus bling!
• Claim: You can only claim the bonus medal once a year.
• Registration: Sign up for Screenland 5k 2025.
• Publication: A list of those who qualify for the medal will be published on the BRA Run website in August before the event.
