This event is the perfect way to honor the iconic character of Forest Gump, who famously ran across America. Whether you're an experienced runner or just starting out, you'll love the opportunity to pay tribute to this legendary film with a fun and festive run.

🏞️ Course Information

Our Forest Gump Anniversary Run will take you through a scenic course that will showcase the beauty of Santa Monica. You can choose to run, walk, or jog your way through the course, and we encourage all participants to dress up in their best Forest Gump-inspired costumes. Prizes are awarded to our best-dressed Gumps.

5K Course: 1 out and back lap
10K Course: 2 out and back laps
Half Marathon Course: 3 out and back laps

We provide water and fuel for all participants, and offer special incentives for those who sign up for multiple events or complete 10 or more events in a calendar year.

Discount: Sign up for 3 events at the same time, and get a 15% discount on the total.
Commemorative Shirt: Complete 10 or more events in one calendar year to earn a special edition HTR shirt.
Free Entry: Complete 15 or more events to earn free entry to another event.
Automatic Tracking: Discounts will be automatically applied at checkout, no discount codes to remember.

👪 Inclusive Registration

Who can register for our events? Everyone!

Our races are open to anyone who wants to participate, regardless of their age, ability level, or preferred pace. Whether you're a seasoned runner, a casual jogger, or a first-time walker, you are welcome to join us for our events. Parents are also encouraged to bring their children and push them in strollers.

📏 Course Safety

About our courses: Our courses are not closed, which means that there are often other runners, walkers, and others enjoying the day along with you. Safety is a must and all runners must stay on the pedestrian side of the beach path. The course never goes off the beach path.

Well-marked: Courses are well marked with two water stations and restrooms along the way.
Runner Turn Signs: The turnaround is clearly marked with flags and chalk.
Course Management: We track you and let you know when you are close to qualifying for the event specials.
Weather Considerations: This is an oceanfront event, please dress accordingly.

🏅 Participant Benefits

What you get: All participants will receive a finisher medal, finish line goodies, and free downloadable race photos. Race results will be posted on our website within 10 hours of the completion of the race.

🔄 Refund and Deferral

Refund and Deferral Policy: NO REFUNDS but we do offer transfers to another High Tides Event up to 48 hours prior to the event.

🅿️ Parking Information

If you park on the street be sure to read the signs carefully. Street sweeping is daily in Santa Monica. It is best to park in the paid parking lot near the start line. Parking ranges from $10 to $12 depending on the time of the year.
