Lansing Turkey Trot

🏃‍♂️ Start Time

• When: 9 am on Thanksgiving Morning.

📏 Open Start Line

• Flexibility: Start the 5K run/walk any time between 9:00 and 9:10 am.
• Placement: Faster runners line up in the front.
• Comfort: You do not have to feel rushed to get to the starting line.
• Timing: Timing does not start until you cross the timing mats!

🚗 Parking

• Location: The Lansing Community College parking ramp will be open for parking.
• Ample Space: There is ample free parking available.
• Exit Ease: You are able to exit the ramp before the last runner has finished.
• Guidance: Volunteers will assist with parking.

💵 Entry Fee

• Cost: $30 until November 19, shirt is guaranteed.
• Last Minute: $35 from November 20 to November 26, shirts available while supplies last.

👨‍👩‍👧 Family Discount

• Group Savings: Register 3 or more people at the same time and save $3/person (10% discount).
• Deadline: Valid only until November 19th.
• Type: Valid only for the in-person 5k run/walk event.

📝 Pre-registration

• Important: Be sure to preregister.
• No Option: There is no race day registration.

🎫 Packet Pick Up

• Dates: At Playmakers, Tuesday 11/25 and Wednesday 11/26 from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.
• Location: The Playmakers store is located at 2299 West Grand River Ave. Okemos, MI 48864.
• Family Pickup: You are able to pick up packets for family and friends.
• Avoid Lines: We encourage picking up your packet at Playmakers to avoid long lines on race day morning.

📊 Results

• Notification: Your accurate chip time will be texted to your phone.
• Results: Current overall and age group place will be live on the site.

🥇 Age Group Awards

• Medals: Top 3 in age groups: 10 & under, 11-12, 13-14, etc.

🏆 Overall Awards

• Prizes: Medal and $50 Playmakers gift certificate to Male and Female Overall, Master (Over 40), Grand Master (Over 50).
• Awards Pickup: Available race day starting at 9:45 am at the awards table.

💖 Proceeds

• Support: Proceeds go to support High School and Middle School Cross Country and Track programs.
• Youth Clubs: Also benefits Youth Running Clubs through the Michigan Running Foundation grant program.

🏃‍♀️ Virtual Lansing Turkey Trot

• Participation: Sign up for the virtual race if you cannot make it.
• Race Window: Run your virtual race any time from November 22 to November 30.
• Shipping: Cost is $35 and includes shipping.
• Registration: Closes on November 19th, packets mailed by November 24th.

🚫 No-Show Policy

• Forfeit: No-shows will forfeit their t-shirt, no exceptions.
