Lansing Turkey Trot

🦃 Event Details

• Start Time: 9 am on Thanksgiving Morning.
• Location: 500 N Grand Ave, Lansing, MI.
• Open Start Line: Start the 5K run/walk any time between 9:00 and 9:10 am. Timing starts when you cross the mats!
• Timing: Faster runners should line up in the front with ample space in the starting area.

🚗 Parking Information

• Parking Ramp: The Lansing Community College parking ramp will be open for ample free parking.
• Exit: After the race, you can exit the ramp before the last runner has finished.
• Guides: Volunteers will assist with parking in and out.

💵 Entry Fees

• Pricing: $30 until November 19. Shirt guaranteed. $35 from November 20 to November 26.
• Supplies: Shirts available while supplies last after the 19th.
• Family Discount: Register 3 or more at the same time and save $3/person until November 19.
• Reminder: Be sure to preregister as there is no race day registration.

📦 Packet Pickup

• When: At Playmakers on Tuesday, 11/25, and Wednesday, 11/26 from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.
• Location: Playmakers community center located at 2299 West Grand River Ave, Okemos, MI 48864.
• Family Pickup: You can pick up packets for family and friends.
• Race Day Pickup: Begins at 7:30 am at Lansing Community College in the Gannon building.

🏆 Awards

• Results: Accurate chip time and placement will be texted to your phone and available live online.
• Age Group Awards: Medals for top 3 in multiple age groups ranging from 10 & under to 85+.
• Overall Awards: Medal and $50 Playmakers gift certificate for Overall Male and Female, Master, and Grand Master.
• Awards Distribution: Available race day starting at 9:45 am near the finish line awards table.

💖 Charity Support

• Proceeds: Support for High School and Middle School Cross Country and Track programs.
• Grant Program: Funds go through the Michigan Running Foundation.

👟 Virtual Participation

• Virtual Race: If you can't make it, sign up virtually to receive a shirt and bib.
• Run Window: Complete your virtual race between November 22 and November 30.
• Cost: $35 includes shipping. No awards for the virtual event.
• Registration Deadline: Closes on November 19.
