Mighty Mile - FREE RACE FOR KIDS - Dansville

🏃‍♂️ Mighty Mile Overview

• Event: The Mighty Mile is for kids only ages 5 to 14 years old.
• Inclusions: All runners will receive a T-shirt, Backpack, and a chipped timed accurate mile.
• Finishers: Once the runner crosses the finish line they will receive a Mighty Mile Finisher Medal.
• Purpose: Part of the Michigan Running Foundation Mighty Mile series to encourage children to run and stay active.

📅 Event Details

• Date: Wednesday evening May 27th, 2026.
• Location: Dansville High School, 1264 E South St, Dansville, MI.
• Registration: Free race for any child ages 5 to 14 years old.
• Important: Online registration only: no registration available at the race.

📝 Registration Information

• Registration Method: Register your child online prior to the race to get a bib number and race materials.
• Limit: Race is limited to the first 200 participants.
• Schedule:
  • Race 1: 6:30pm | 5 - 7 year olds
  • Race 2: 6:50pm | 8 – 9 year olds
  • Race 3: 7:10pm | 10 - 11 year olds
  • Race 4: 7:25pm | 12 - 14 year olds
• Packet Pick Up: Race day at Dansville High School starting at 5:45 pm.

⏱️ Results and Awards

• Timing: This race will be electronically timed using the disposable tag system on the bib number.
• Results: Available immediately after the race and posted on the website.
• Awards: There are no awards for the race: all runners will receive a Mighty Mile medal.
• Encouragement: Members of the Dansville High School Cross Country team will support along the course.

🏁 Course Information

• Course Layout: The start and finish is on the Dansville Track.
• Distance: The first 1/4 mile is on the track, followed by a loop on school grounds, finishing with a 1/4 mile on the track.
• Viewing: Ideal for spectators to watch their child run the entire mile while staying in the stands.
• Participant Support: Parents are welcome to run with their child.

💧 Important Notes

• Water: Bring water for your child: there is no water available at the race.
