11th Annual Chas Foundation 5K and 1-mile Fun Run/Walk presented by: Sentara

🏃‍♂️ Event Overview

• Event Type: A charity fundraiser event now in its 11th year benefiting local initiatives to improve delivery of mental health care in the Hampton Roads area.
• Courses: Certified fast out and back 5K course and a 1-mile Fun Run that courses through the scenic Harbour View area of Suffolk.
• Race Bling: Includes an awesome custom short sleeve tech running shirt for the first 250 at packet pick up.
• Post-Race: Coffee and donuts served after the race: after-race meet-up at MoMac Brewery.

🏞️ Course Details

• Start and Finish: Located at Towne Bank University.
• Race Route: A certified scenic, flat, paved 5K and 1 mile course that meanders through neighborhood streets along a golf course with a water stop and course marshals.

💰 Benefit

• Proceeds: Used by the Chas Foundation to improve access to local mental health care.
• Board Members: Will be on site to answer any questions and explain ongoing programs this race supports.

• 8:00 AM: Opening Ceremonies
• 8:15 AM: 1-mile Fun run/walk Race
• 8:45 AM: 5K (3.1 miles) Race
• 9:30 AM: Award ceremony
• 9:45 AM: Finish Line Closes

🏆 Awards

• 5K Awards: 1st Overall male and female, 1st overall male and female Masters.
• Age Groups: Top 3 male and female finishers in 10 yr. age groups: 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70-99 will receive an award.
• 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk: No awards given.
