Butler's Best Buddies Eggstravaganza (5K, 1-Mile, and Easter Egg Hunt)

🏃‍♂️ RACE DAY ACTIVITIES

Distance: The Easter Egg Dash is a 5K race (3.1 miles) that loops around the Butler Senior and Intermediate High School Campus.
Awards: Medals will be given to the top 3 male and female overall runners in each age bracket: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-39, 40-59, and 60 and over. The overall top Male and Female runners will be awarded a plaque.
Start Time: The race will begin approximately at 10:00 AM. The award ceremony for the Easter Egg Dash (5K) will be held at the conclusion of the 5K race on the Stadium Field.
Note: Walkers are permitted to participate in the 5K event, but they must finish within the 60-minute timeframe.

Distance: The Bunny Hop is a 1-Mile course (recommended for fun) that is a single loop on the Senior High School Campus, designed for runners and walkers.
Start Time: The Bunny Hop will begin approximately at 11:00 AM.

Age Group: The Easter Egg Hunt for kids, ages 10 and under, will occur after the Bunny Hop Fun Run/Walk.
Location: The Easter Egg Hunt will be at the Art Bernardi Stadium on the Senior High School Campus. There will be 5 separate egg hunts for different age groups.
Time: The Easter Egg Hunts will begin at approximately 12:00 PM.
Fun: Kids will search for eggs containing candy and surprise grand prizes!

Shirts: 5K and 1-Mile Participants (ages 11 and older) that register before March 21st, 2025, will be guaranteed a race shirt: for late and race day registrants, race shirts may be available, but only while supplies last.
Activities: Fun family-friendly activities will be available.
Refreshments: Free refreshments and snacks for all participants in the 5K and 1-Mile Race.
Awards: Awards Ceremony for Easter Egg Dash Participants and multiple grand prizes in the Easter Egg Hunt.

Online Registration: Online registration will be accepted until 6:00 PM on April 11th.
Race Day Registration: Race Day Registration WILL BE available on April 12th at the Art Bernardi Stadium at the Butler Senior High School.
Cash Only: Race day registration will be cash only, and exact change is appreciated.
Registration Times: Easter Egg Dash registration will be open from 8:45 am – 9:45 am: Bunny Hop registration will be open from 8:45 am – 10:45 am: Egg Hunt registration will be open from 8:45 am – 11:50 am.

Check-In: Pre-Registration Check-In and Packet Pick-up will only be provided on race day from 8:45 am until 10:50 am at the Art Bernardi Stadium.

Timing Services: Electronic chip timing will be provided by “Miles of Smiles” timing services.
Results: Results will be posted on Miles of Smiles Timing Services Homepage and under the results tab found on our site.

Available Parking: The Intermediate High School parking lot and the lower Senior High School parking lot will be available for parking.
Restrictions: There will be no parking on Campus Lane, as this is part of the course.

Organizer: This event is being held by the Butler Senior High School's Best Buddies chapter, promoting inclusion among people with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Activities: Best Buddies pairs students in one-to-one friendships and creates opportunities for interaction in various activities throughout the year.
Support: By participating in these events, you are helping to fund the Best Buddies program at the Butler Senior High School.
Growth: Our chapter currently has 150 members and 33 pairs of students in one-to-one friendships, aiming for continued growth and inclusivity.
