Lace up your trail shoes and get ready to explore the stunning natural beauty of Sadlers Creek State Park this fall at the Sadlers Creek Stumble Trail Race! Whether you're an ultra-athlete tackling the 100-mile challenge or a novice runner looking to conquer your first 10k, this event has something for everyone. Nestled amidst the serene landscapes of the park, runners will experience a true adventure through trails that wind through forests ablaze with autumn colors and along the tranquil shores of Lake Hartwell.
The Sadlers Creek Stumble Trail Race isn't just about the distance: it's about the journey and the camaraderie of fellow trail enthusiasts. With options including a 100 mile run, full marathon, half marathon, and 10k, participants can choose their challenge and immerse themselves in a day filled with exhilarating running and breathtaking scenery. Every mile completed brings you closer to discovering the hidden gems of this picturesque state park, making each step a memorable part of your fall adventure.
The course is a 6.70 mile loop with only a half mile section where runners will be double backing. The course climbs 400 Feet per 6.70 mile loop and is relatively flat with a few mole hills. From the course, you can expect to see Lake Hartwell on several occasions, deer roaming the peninsula, and towering pines. Please follow all directional arrows to stay on course. In the event that you make a wrong turn, please backtrack to your original spot of confusion.
Terrain Breakdown: 380 Feet Per Loop - 80% Trail - 10% Gravel - 8% Pavement - 2% Sand with Covered Shade, No Water Crossings, Roots
Note to 32 Hour Participants: limited support between 10pm and 6am as our volunteers and staff will be catching up on some sleep. Our timing system will be operating collecting laps from all of our runners. In the event of a medical emergency please contact 911 directly. Athletes who are not camping are permitted to have a drop bag or personal tent near the aid station. Please place your personal belongings off the course.
Sadlers Creek State Park is located at 940 Sadlers Creek Rd, Anderson SC 29626. When entering the park, please have cash for your day pass unless you have a SC State Park pass. After entering, please make your first left towards the ball fields for designated parking.
Basic aid station supplies will be available at the start and finish line. Items may include: pickles, cookies, chips, assorted candy, fig newtons, and pretzels. Hydration will include water, coke, and ginger ale. Note: this is a cup-less event: please provide your own hydration vessel for use at our aid stations.
Please contact the park for reservations. Sadlers Creek State Park sits on 395 acres on a peninsula that extends into Lake Hartwell, featuring camping and day-use rentals. Admission is $6 for adults, $1.50 for SC seniors, $1.00 for children age 6-15, and free for children under 5. RESERVATIONS HERE.
