Mardi Gras Mile

🎉 Mardi Gras Mile Overview

This is our 3rd annual Mardi Gras Mile that will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 11:00am to kickoff the New Bern Mardi Gras Festival in Historic Ghent. This will give our racers a one-of-a-kind experience to run through the streets with the crowd lined up to cheer them on. Racers are encouraged to wear their best Mardi Gras Attire. Race information and runner registration will be through Run the East (runtheeast.com).

💵 Registration Details

• Cost: $20 per participant until 2/1/2025
• Increase: Price increases to $25 per participant until race day on 3/1/2025

• Overall Awards: 1st, 2nd, & 3rd Overall, Male & Female
• Age Group Awards: 1st in Age Group, Male & Female:
• Age Categories: Under 10, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-80, 80+

🎁 Giveaway Items

Race registration includes a customized Mardi Gras bead and a drink ticket.

🕙 Race Day Details

• Packet Pick-Up: At the start line starting at 10am
• Same Day Registration: Closes at 10:40 am

🚧 Road and Parking Information

There will be road closures due to the festival and parade. Parking is available at Temple Church (1500 Kingdom Way, New Bern) that can be best accessed from Rhem St. Please allow yourself enough time to get to the start line.

🏅 Awards Announcement

Once results are available following the race, awards will be announced at the main festival stage.
