🏃‍♂️ Brazos Bend 50 Race Overview

This is the April edition of our popular Brazos Bend races with the marquee event being the 50-mile. Additional events include the 50k, 25k, 10k, and 5k. A great event for veteran or first-time ultra runners, trail runners, and those new to running in general.

🌳 Course Details

• Fastest Trail: The Brazos Bend course is the fastest trail in Texas trail running.
• Elevation: The course is 99.9% flat, with the only hill being 10 feet.
• Surface Variety: You will be running on hard crushed rock, soft hiking trails, and easy horse trails.
• Wildlife Encounter: Brazos Bend is known for its wildlife, including birds and American Alligators. Enjoy them from a distance!

📅 2025 Event Schedule

• Packet Pickup: Wednesday, April 2nd from Noon - 7 PM at Good Times Running Co in Katy.
• Friday Activities: Packet Pickup and Bag Drop at Elm Lake Pavilion (Noon - 7 PM).
• Race Day: Saturday, April 5th: 4 AM shuttles begin: all races start and finish at Elm Lake Pavilion.
• Start Times: 50-Mile at 6 AM, 50-KM at 7 AM, 25K at 7:30 AM, 10K at 8 AM, 5K at 8:30 AM, Kids K at Noon.

• Race Swag: Every Runner Receives Your Choice of Race Swag.
• Support: Outstanding Volunteer Support and Texas Size Full Aid Stations.
• Timing: The race is chip-timed.
• Parking Recommendation: Arrive at least one hour before your event for shuttle and packet pickup.

🎟️ Park Pass Information

Registered runners/pacers, volunteers, and campers DO NOT need to purchase a pass. Every guest 13 and over entering the park will require a special events state park pass for the weekend which includes park entry, trail & facility use. This fee goes directly to Brazos Bend State Park.

🕵️‍♂️ Pacers Regulations

Pacers are only allowed on the final lap of the 50M and must remain with their runner at all times. Each athlete is only allowed ONE pacer unless under special approved circumstances. Registration as a pacer must be completed through RunSignup.

🏕️ Camping & Accommodations

Camping at the event area, parking lots, pavilions, and Car Camping is NOT allowed. Camping must be reserved through the online reservation system at the Texas State Parks website. For open primitive camping and RV Parking, BBRV is available across the street from the State Park without reservation required.
