🎓 About the Alexandria Foundation

• Mission: The Alexandria Foundation, a 501(C)(3) organization, awards scholarships annually and supports educational initiatives for students in the greater Houston area for over 25 years.
• Cause: A portion of the net proceeds will be donated towards initiatives that battle Sickle Cell and Sickle Cell Trait Awareness.
• Challenge: Sickle cell disease (SCD) and sickle cell trait have historically faced deficits in funding, research prioritization, and accessibility of care compared to other illnesses.
• Support: Donations in addition to your registration fee are greatly appreciated.

🏅 Race Details

• Unique Distance: This isn't your traditional 5K run - we've added an extra 1K in honor of the year Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc was founded 1906 ('06).
• Registration Includes: A '06K numbered bib, a commemorative medal, and other surprises from our sponsors and supporters.
• Awards: Top finishers will be awarded based on their registration class.
• Alternatives: If you aren't up for running, you can WALK in support of the efforts of our organization.
