Mission: Our 501(C)(3) foundation awards scholarships annually and has supported educational initiatives for students in the greater Houston area for over 25 years.
Cause: A portion of the net proceeds from this year's event will be donated towards initiatives that battle Sickle Cell and Sickle Cell Trait Awareness.
Research focus: Sickle cell disease (SCD) and sickle cell trait research and treatment have historically faced deficits in funding, research prioritization, and accessibility of care compared to other illnesses.

Date: Saturday, April 19th, 2025.
Location: Brazos River Park in Sugar Land, TX.
Open to: The public (men, women, and children).
Unique length: This isn't your traditional 5K run - we've added an extra 1K in honor of the year Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc was founded 1906 ('06).

Included: a '06K numbered bib, a commemorative medal and other surprises from our sponsors and supporters.
Awards: Top finishers will also be awarded based on their registration class.
Walking option: If you aren't up for running - WALK - in support of the efforts of our organization.
Volunteer support: There will be volunteers available to assist you along the way.
