🎉 Event Overview

• Title Sponsor: You are invited to join Ascension St. Vincent Evansville, our title sponsor this year, and support this event as a sponsor, a participant, and/or a volunteer.
• Deadline: Act now! The print deadline for banners, signs, and t-shirts is Wednesday, May 28, 2025.
• Focus: Together, we can ensure high-quality early childhood education is accessible to all children.
• Program Partner: Evansville Trails Coalition.

🏃‍♀️ Registration and Fees

• 5K Run/Walk: $30 before May 4, 2025, $35 until June 8, 2025, and $40 until/on event day. All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
• 1-Mile Family Fun Walk: $15 before May 4, 2025, $20 until June 8, 2025, and $25 until/on event day for a family of up to 5 people.
• T-Shirts: All registrations for the 5K Race/Walk will receive a short-sleeved t-shirt!
• Availability: Registrations must be completed by May 28, 2025, for t-shirt guarantee.

🌈 Color Fun

• Splash Zone: Participants can experience being splashed with color: stay to one side of the course to avoid most of it.
• Safety: The color dust used is non-toxic, biodegradable, and not harmful to wildlife or vegetation.
• Environmental Care: The event will strive to maintain a low environmental impact.
• Clean-up: Leaf blowers will be used post-event to disperse excess color dust.

⏰ Race Day Details

• Start Times: 5K Timed Race begins at 8:00 am (CST), 5K Walk at 8:05 am (CST), and 1-mile Children & Family Walk at 9:15 am (CST).
• Walking Allowed: You may run or walk the 5K race, but please keep pace to complete within an hour.
• Awards: Awards will be given to top runners in various age brackets.
• Check-in: Check in at the registration tables starting at 7:00 am (CDT).

📦 Packet Pickup

• When: Bib/Shirt pickup is on Friday, June 13, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (CDT).
• Where: Pickup will also be available on race day from 7:00 - 7:55 am (CDT) at Garvin Park.
• Non-Transferable: All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
• Event Proceeds: Proceeds will help underwrite early childhood education programs at St. Vincent Early Learning Center.

🌧️ Weather Policy

• Decision: In the case of inclement weather, the decision to race will be made on the event day.
• No Refunds: There will be no refunds: shirts will be available for pickup at a later date.
• Safety First: Strollers may be used in the 5K Walk or 1-Mile Family Walk, with caution advised.
• Pet Policy: Pets and certain items (like skates, skateboards, and scooters) are not allowed in races.

📍 Date & Location

• Date: Saturday morning, June 14, 2025, at 8:00 a.m.
• Location: The race starts on Bob Griese Pass near N. Main Street.
• Course: The route goes around the lake toward Pigeon Creek and returns.
• Timing: The race will be officially timed by "To the Finish": results posted online.

• Volunteer Needs: We need many volunteers to help with registration, water handout, and cleanup.
