Come out and run or walk the 9th Annual Heels Up Race!! This race will take place on March 22, 2025 in the beautiful Provenance neighborhood in Shreveport, Louisiana.

👶 Event Details

• All Ages: This event is for all ages with a Kids Fun Run and a 5K that you can run or walk.
• Support: 100% of proceeds from this race supports The Hub Urban Ministries program Purchased: Not for Sale.
• Purpose: Purchased exists to serve women and children who are victims of sex trafficking or leaving the sex industry.
• Mission: We do that by providing Rescue, Relationship, Resources, and Recovery.

🚨 How Do We Do It:

• Rescue: Giving survivors access to get out of the exploitative situation they are in and into a safe and stable environment is the first step in the healing process.
• Relationships: By surrounding women and children with healthy relationships on all sides, we can equip them to endure the long process of healing and restoration.
• Resources: Food, clothes, education, medical care, counseling, and a safe home to live in are all examples of resources offered by Purchased.
• Recovery: The programs of Purchased give those working towards healing access to the tools and relationships they need to recover from their trauma.

👟 Shoe Donation

This race is run in honor of all the survivors of sex trafficking and to fight for those who are still victims! All runners are invited to donate their shoes or bring a pair of shoes to donate on race day. If you donate your race shoes after you cross the finish line, then you will receive a Heels Up water bottle and a chance to win a year subscription to Rise Up and Roast coffee.

📅 Registration Info

• 5K Registration: $20 thru Sept 30, $25 Oct 1 thru Oct 31, $30 Nov 1 thru Jan 31, $35 Feb 1 thru Mar 21.
• Race Day: $40.
• Kids Fun Run: $15 for ages 10 and under.
• Fun Run Time: Begins at 8:00am. All kids participating in the fun run will receive a Heels Up tumbler at packet pick-up.

📍 Course Description

The 5K (3.1 miles) will start and finish in the Provenance Neighborhood.

📦 Packet Pickup

• Thursday, March 20th 11am-6pm at Run Wild.
• Friday, March 21st 10am-5:30pm at Run Wild.
• Saturday at race site.

👕 Race Shirts

This year you get a short sleeve t-shirt. The deadline to be guaranteed a shirt is March 1st.

📝 Race Day Registration & Check-In

Park area behind Rhino South, 7:00—8:00 AM race day check-in. You may register on race day, but we recommend early registration to guarantee a T-shirt. Race day Registration is $40.00. Please note that we will not hold or mail race shirts. All race shirts not picked up by the start of the race will be given to our wonderful volunteers.

🎁 Giveaways

• $250: to first place overall male and female winners.
• $100: to second place overall male and female winners.
• Heels Up Trophies: for various age categories.
• Powered by Locals: Spring race series participants receive a NEW BALANCE Jacket after the third race.
