🎖️ Join Us to Honor Our Heroes

• Event: Please join us for our 29th year as we honor our fallen law enforcement heroes. These officers have made the ultimate sacrifice for the safety and protection of our city and its people.

🕵️‍♂️ The Fallen Officers

• Ron Dean: Ron Dean #551 was fatally wounded while attempting to serve a search warrant for narcotics at the Pines Apartments on December 16, 1992.
• Dewayne Williams: Dewayne Williams #904 was fatally wounded while attempting to serve a search warrant for narcotics at a home on Magnolia Ave on March 3, 1993.

🏅 Support for Special Olympics

• Legacy: Ron Dean and Dewayne Williams were supporters of Special Olympics during their law enforcement careers.
• Participation: Shreveport Police Officers along with other law enforcement agencies and civilians participate in this run each year.
• Commemoration: This run is not only in memory of Ron Dean and Dewayne Williams: it is in memory of all fallen law enforcement officers.

• Charity: All funds raised are donated to Special Olympics Louisiana.

📅 Date & Starting Times

• Date: Saturday, June 21st, 2025
• Fun Run/Walk: Starts at 8:00 a.m.
• 5K Run: Starts at 8:30 a.m.

📝 Registration Fees

• Early Registration: $25.00 up to May 31st.
• Standard Registration: $30.00 from June 1st to June 20th.
• Race Day Fee: $35.00.
• Location: Register at Sportspectrum, 6970 Fern Ave., Shreveport with cash, check, or credit card.

😴 Sleep-in Supporter

• Participation: Don’t feel like getting up and running? Be a sleep-in supporter.
• Benefits: You still get a shirt and you don’t have to break a sweat to get it!

📦 Race Packet

• Shirts: Every pre-registered participant will receive an Official 2025 Dean-Williams Run T-shirt.
• Limited Supply: Shirts will be limited to the first 300, so please register early.
• Pick-Up: Packets can be picked up early at Sportspectrum on June 19th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and June 20th from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
• Race Day Pick-Up: From 7:00 to 8:15 a.m. at the race site.

🏃‍♂️ Course Description

• Location: The race will begin near the Veterans Memorial on the Clyde Fant Parkway.
• Route: Runners will head north on the Parkway to the Police/Fireman’s Memorial turn around and head back to the finish.

🏆 Awards

• Overall Awards: Male & Female winners will receive awards.
• Age Group Awards: 1st & 2nd place winners in male & female categories: 13-under, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & up.

👮 Law Enforcement Awards

• Overall Recognition: Overall Male & Female will receive awards.
• Age Group Recognition: 1st & 2nd place winners for male & female categories: 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & up.

⚠️ Special Note

• Regulations: Under RRCA regulations, absolutely no baby joggers, bikes, skateboards, or rollerblades will be allowed.
• Pets: No dogs allowed on course.
