YL is proud to host our second annual “Super-Cool, Really Awesome, Fun-In-The-Sun Run 5k. Join us to gather the community for an opportunity to run, race, and have a super cool, really awesome, fun-in-the-sun time! Young Life’s mission is to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ & help them grow in their faith. One of the opportunities YL is able to provide our community is our camp trips. They are once-in-a-lifetime, life changing experiences to beautiful places all over the country! We do everything we can to make our trips affordable, so all proceeds will enrich the camping possibilities for ALL kids in our city!

📍 Course Description

• Start: The 5k and ½ mile fun run will begin and end at the YL house.
• Route: The race will run past the Norton Art Gallery through the South Highlands neighborhood.

⏰ Start Times

• 5k: starts at 8:15 a.m.
• ½ Mile Fun Run: starts at 8:00 a.m.

💲 Entry Fees

• 5k: through Friday April 12th - $25.00
• 5k: April 13th - Race Day April 19th - $30.00
• Fun Run: through April 12th - Race Day April 19th - $15.00
• Fun Run: April 13th - Race Day April 19th - $20.00
• Sleep-In Supporter: If you cannot be there, but want to show support. Pricing is same as the 5k registration (t-shirt included).

🎽 Race Packet Pick Up

• Pre-registration: Participants will receive an official race t-shirt. You must sign up before 3:00 p.m. on April 10th to guarantee a race shirt.
• Dates:
• Thursday, April 17th 12pm-6pm @ Sportspectrum
• Friday, April 18th 10am-5:30pm @ Sportspectrum
• Race day at the Young Life House (713 Southfield Road) starting at 7am

🏆 Awards

5k overall male and female participants will receive $100 cash each and a very nice YL water bottle, second place overall male and female winners will receive $75 cash each. 1st place male and female 5k winners will receive a cool “winner” YL coffee mug in the following age divisions: 19-under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+. All participants will receive their own pair of sunglasses!
