🥧 Join us for a Pi Day 5k on March 15, 2025!
Join us for the Pi Day 5k, taking place on Saturday March 15 at Hawk Island Park. This fun-run to raise money for Impression 5 Science Center's scholarship program. Impression 5 Science Center is a dynamic, interactive space for families to play, create, and challenge their understanding of science together. By participating in this event, you’ll support their scholarship programs, which increase access to their exhibits and experiences for children and families throughout our community. All participants receive a t-shirt, medal and free slice of pie after the race! If participating isn't the right fit, there is also an opportunity to volunteer during the event.
📍 Race Details
Location: Hawk Island Park, 1601 E Cavanaugh Rd, Lansing, MI 48910
Start Time: 9:00 am on Saturday March 15, 2025. The 10k will start at 9:00 AM and the 5k will start at 9:15 AM.
💰 Entry Fee
Early Bird Registration: $30 EXTENDED until November 30, 2024.
Regular Registration: $40 from December 1, 2024 through February 22, 2025.
Late Registration: Increases to $45 on February 23, 2025.
🏅 Giveaways
Participants: will receive finisher medals and shirts.
All participants receive a piece of pie after the race! Pie is generously being provided by Grand Traverse Pie Company!
📦 Packet Pick Up
Early Packet Pick Up: Friday March 14, 2025, 4:30 PM-6:00 PM at the Playmakers Community Room, 2299 W Grand River Ave, Okemos, MI 48864.
Day of Packet Pick Up: Check in will begin at 8 AM prior to the race at Hawk Island in the Red Tail Pavilion.
🚗 Parking
Parking Fee: Will be added to your registration upon check out. Show your email confirmation/registration or race bib upon entering the park.
⏱️ Results
Timing: Your accurate chip time and current overall and age group place will be texted to your phone and live on this site. Timing done by Michigan Running Foundation.
👥 Age Groups
Categories: Under 14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+.
🌐 Virtual Pi Day 5k
If you can't make the race and still want to participate, sign up for the virtual race and we will mail out a shirt and medal to you! Cost is $45 and includes shipping. There are no placement awards for the virtual event. Virtual event registration closes March 13th. Registrations received on or before March 10 will be mailed on March 11th. Registrations received after March 10 will be mailed out on March 13th.
⚠️ Important Note
No-shows to the race will forfeit their shirt and finisher medal.
