Comet 5k run/walk

🎉 Event Overview

• Date: Sunday, May 18th, 2025
• Location: Beagle Middle School, Grand Ledge, MI
• Support: Come support your Grand Ledge Comet Marching Band as band members will play for you along the route!
• Family-Friendly: This is a family-friendly event: all ages and abilities are welcome!

🚗 Parking Information

• Address: Beagle Middle School, 600 W. South Street
• Directions: Turn at Jenne street to South Street and pull into the Beagle parking lot.
• Note: The street (Lohne Drive) at the roundabout will not be open.

💵 Registration Fees

• Standard Fees: $35 through May 11th, $40 from May 12th to May 17th, $45 on Race day.
• Free Running: Run for FREE - details HERE.
• Student Registration: Ages 18 and under - only $25.
• Family Pricing: Register 3 or more people at the same time and save $3 per person (savings automatically applied during registration).

🏅 Awards and Prizes

• Awards: Overall and Age Group Awards will be presented.
• Race Swag: All participants who register by May 4th will receive a t-shirt: availability after that date is based on supplies.

📅 Packet Pickup

• Early Packet Pickup: Saturday, May 17th from 9 am to 11 am at the Grand Ledge Track Complex, 1121 Lohne Dr, Grand Ledge, MI 48837.
• Race Day Pickup: Morning of the race starting at 7:30 am.

🏃‍♀️ Course Information

• Start/Finish: The 5k run/walk starts and finishes at Grand Ledge High School track.
• Results: Available live and on this page after the race.

🎶 Proceeds

• Support: All proceeds from the event will support the Grand Ledge Marching Band.

🌐 Virtual Event

• Option: If you are unable to participate in person, sign up for the virtual event, with t-shirts included when registered by May 4th.
• Price: Virtual registration is $40, including shipping.
• Results Submission: There are no awards for the virtual event, but participants can enter their results on the results page after completing their run/walk.

⏱️ Timing

• Timing Service: The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.
