We are so excited to announce the 43rd Annual Toad Suck Daze 10k and 5k Race for the Kiwanis Club of Conway. We would also like to thank our co-presenting sponsor for this year’s race, Centennial Bank and Conway Regional Health Systems!
🏃♂️ Tadpole Trot
The Tadpole Trot, Presented by Centennial Bank and Conway Regional Health Systems will take place May 2nd at 5:45 pm at the Young-Wise Memorial Stadium at Hendrix College. This will be a short race and is for kids ages 3-10 years old. Prizes and t-shirts are available!
📅 Race History
The Toad Suck Daze 10k Race was started by the Conway Kiwanis Club in 1982 and run in conjunction with the then-new Toad Suck Daze Festival. Important highlights include:
- 1984 Event: First National Bank began a race in memory of Randy Baker, who died of cancer.
- 1986 Merge: The two races combined to create the annual Toad Suck Daze Run in memory of Randy Baker.
- Community Impact: Over $500,000 raised for nonprofit organizations supporting children.
- Last Year's Contribution: The Kiwanis Club presented checks totaling more than $44,500 to local non-profits.
📝 Registration Information
Online registration will be cut off Friday, May 2nd at 11:00 am. Runners can still register for the race by filling out paper registration forms at:
- Location 1: Conway Regional Fitness Center, May 2, 2024 - 12 pm - 6 pm
- Location 2: Day of Race, Registration table Conway High School Field House - 6:00 am - 7:30 am
