About this Event: This family, fun community event will bring together people of our community and veterans who have served our nation.
Two Races: Participants get to experience two races for the price of one - a 5k through historic Wickford Village and a .152k fun run suitable for all ages and abilities.
Event Features: Both races will have typical road race elements like bib numbers, start/finish lines, timing, and water stations. All participants will receive a T-shirt, a specially designed race medal, and a 'goodie' bag with assorted swag.
💰 Proceeds
Proceeds: Funds raised from this event will support Gateway to Independence, a VA-supported veteran transitional housing program aiding homeless individuals affected by PTSD, substance abuse, depression, and other factors.
Additional Support: The proceeds will also benefit the Holiday Veteran in need program, providing food and clothing for disadvantaged local veterans.
🏞️ Course
Location: The race course winds through Historic Wickford Village, voted the 2022 Best Historic Small Town in America by USA Today.
Experience: Established in 1709, Wickford Village offers picturesque waterfront streets lined with unique shops featuring jewelry, housewares, clothing, and more.
Scenic Route: Run past galleries, antique shops, cafes, restaurants, churches, colonial homes, and gardens during the race.
