- 2024 marks the 31st anniversary of the Capital City River Run, featuring family-friendly races promoting education and healthy lifestyles. - The races celebrate the natural beauty of Michigan's capital city and its rivers. - The event supports the Impression 5 Science Center in providing science exploration opportunities for children and families. - Race participants can choose from a Half Marathon, 5K Walk/Run, and the Sohn’s Kid’s Race.

- Date: September 21, 2024 - Location: Impression 5 Science Center, 200 Museum Drive, Lansing, MI - Races start times: Kids Race at 11AM on Saturday, Half Marathon and 5K at 8AM on Sunday - Packet Pick up: Saturday, September 21 from 10AM to 6PM at Impression 5 Science Center
🏅 Race Features
- All race participants receive a long-sleeve pullover and finisher's medal. - Races are chip-timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. - Results can be checked during the race and on Playmakers.com. - Kids race participants can enjoy a day at the Science Museum and a pizza party after the event.
📍 Race Routes
- Half marathon and 5K races start on Michigan Ave in front of the Lansing Center. - Routes utilize Michigan Ave and the Lansing River Trail. - Races end in front of Rotary Park in downtown Lansing. - Races utilize the Lansing River Trail, starting downtown and finishing at Rotary Park.
