🏃‍♂️ Boldly Remembering Michael

Michael W Leibowitz was always on the move. A fixture in the Charleston running community, he once participated in more than 70 races in a single year! Michael traveled across the globe for a good cause, bringing family and friends with him whenever they obliged. His motto, which he routinely shared accompanied by a photo on every trek, was “If I can do it, so can you.”

🕊️ Honoring a Legacy

• Tragic Loss: Michael was tragically killed at age 71, along with his friend Christina Chung, in an accident in July 2024.
• Family Tribute: His grandchildren, children, family, and friends wish to honor his memory with this event.
• Significant Date: Why 5.12 K? In honor of Michael’s birthday, May 12 - and because he revered being a little different with measurements.
• Charitable Cause: All proceeds from this memorial event will be donated to the Michael W Leibowitz Fund, to support the charitable causes closest to his heart.
