- Daily Impact: An estimated 17 to 22 veterans take their lives daily, affecting about 3,000 individuals.
- Reintegration Challenges: Veterans face unique challenges including difficulties in transitioning to civilian life.
🙌 Support for Veterans
- Be The One Program: Trains civilians to help veterans who may be at risk of suicide.
- Stigma Reduction: Encourages mental health treatment and action-taking.
- Resources: Provides peer-to-peer support and local community resources.
- Awareness Training: Teaches how to identify risk signs and take appropriate action.
🎖️ Race Day Activities
- Start Time: 10:00 AM with posting of the colors and National Anthem.
- Guest Speakers: Includes representatives from the Be The One initiative and WellCare services.
- Lap of Honor: Led by American Legion post 436 to honor all present veterans.
- Entry Fee: $20.00 for nonveterans: free for veterans, including a bib, t-shirt, bag, goodies, and a post-race snack.
