The Hill's Great Rover Road Run (GRRR) is an annual 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run that promotes health and wellness amongst people and their four-legged friends all while raising money for the LSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital's Good Samaritan Fund. This is a fun and exciting event for all involved! Whether you are ready for a 5K or simply want to take your pet for a fun stroll, this event promises a day full of activities and community togetherness. All race proceeds and donations benefit the Good Samaritan Fund.
🐶 About The Good Samaritan Fund
- Mission: Most of us have had the difficult experience of coming upon a stray animal that is injured or sick.
- Emergency Care: Each year, over 300 such animals needing emergency treatment are brought to the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine’s 24-hour emergency facility by Good Samaritans who care deeply for animals in need.
- Financial Needs: The cost of treating these animals approaches $70,000 per year, a cost we absorb as part of our mission to heal.
- Support: Funds raised through this event are used to offset the cost of treatment for these animals in need.

- Dog Wash: The LSU Vet Med SAVMA Dog Wash (all proceeds will benefit SAVMA and LSU Vet Med clubs).
- Contests: Hill's Pet Trick & Costume contests, music, yard games, & more!
