🎉 DESCRIPTION

• Event: The 5K Shamrock Run is a community event fun for the whole family to enjoy in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day!
• Route: Great opportunity to run on the last mile of the historic Wearin' of the Green St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Baton Rouge.
• Year: This is the 6th year for the Shamrock Run and we love the excitement it generates!
• Post-Race: Join us for a fabulous after party behind Moreau’s and don’t forget the 40th Wearin' of the Green Parade rolls immediately after the run.
• Dress Code: WEAR YOUR GREEN!

📋 EVENT DETAILS

• Early Bird Fees: Start at $35. Registration fees start increasing January 1, 2025.
• Race Day: Is the same day as the parade: March 15, 2025. Race starts at 8 a.m. Parade begins at 10 a.m.
• Partnership: The Wearin' of the Green 5K Shamrock Run is proud to partner with Varsity Sports and Moreau Physical Therapy.

🕖 DAY OF RUN DETAILS

• 7:00 am: Race Day Packet Pickup Opens behind Moreau Physical Therapy
• 8:00 am: 5K Shamrock Run Start
• 8:00 am: Finisher After Party opens behind Moreau Physical Therapy
• 8:45 am: Awards Ceremony

🎁 REGISTRANTS

• Swag: We’re offering some really cool swag - a 16 oz shamrock pint glass, a cooling towel, and drawstring backpack to the first 500 that register.
• Bib: Receive customized bib with timing chip
• Post-Race Entry: Entrance to post-race party – food – beverage – entertainment!
• Medals: First 500 finishers receive an awesome 2025 Shamrock Run finisher medal
• Awards: Awards will be given to the top 10 male and top 10 female finishers after the race.

📏 RACE RULES

• Restrictions: For the safety of all participants, and for insurance reasons: Baby joggers or strollers are not allowed in the 5K race.
• No Dogs: No dogs in the race or the start/finish area.
• Casts: No participants with leg or foot casts.
• Enforcement: Stragglers will be escorted off the route by Baton Rouge's finest police officers to make way for the Parade.

💰 REGISTRATION FEES

• September 13, 2024, NOON: $35
• January 1, 2025, 12 a.m.: $45
• February 1, 2025, 12 a.m.: $55
• March 1, 2025, 12 a.m.: $65
• March 12, 2025, 12 a.m.: $75
• Registration closes: Friday, March 14 at NOON

❌ CANCELLATION POLICY

• Fees: Shamrock Run Fees are non-refundable & entries are non-transferable.
• No Refund: You will not receive a refund if you cannot participate for any reason whatsoever.
• Number Transfer: You shall not give or sell your bib number to anyone else.
• Cancellation: In the event that the Shamrock Run is postponed or canceled by the Organizer or by order or request of any court, the city, parish, state or federal government, Shamrock Run Fees remain non-refundable.

📦 PACKET PICKUP

• Early Pickup: Early Packet Pickup is encouraged. Come grab your chipped bib and goodie bag!
• Friday, March 14: 12 pm-6 pm | Baton Rouge Green | Located at 2241 Christian Street, Baton Rouge, LA
• Saturday, March 15: Race Day | 7 am | BEHIND Moreau Physical Therapy.
• Race Start: Race starts at 8 am.

🏅 Awards

• Finishers: First 500 finishers receive a unique 2025 Shamrock Run finisher medal.
• Top Finishers: Awards will still be given to the top 10 male and top 10 female finishers after the race compliments of Brooks Running.
