🎉 Celebration of Freedom
Juneteenth is a nationally recognized holiday and a celebration that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States, on June 19, 1865. General Gordon Granger led 2,000 Union soldiers to Galveston, Texas to ensure the freedom of 250,000 still enslaved. Rochester, NY, home to Frederick Douglass, is the perfect place to host a Juneteenth Run/Walk!
- Scholarships: Profits to benefit college-bound Black and Brown students from Irondequoit and Eastridge High Schools
- Festival Time: Join us for our 6th annual Juneteenth festival at 12 noon at the Irondequoit Town Hall yard.
- Packet Pickup: Race day registration and packet pickup at Saint Kateri Parish from 7:15 am until the start of the race at 8:30 am.
- Shirt Guarantee: Participants who registered by June 13, 2025, at 5:30 pm are guaranteed a race shirt in their requested size.
🗓 Registration Info
5K Registration: $30 / $35
- Early Packet Pickup: Available on Friday, June 20th from 6-8 pm at Salvatores Pizzeria located at 149 E. Ridge Rd.
- Post Race Celebration: Music, bottled water, light refreshments, and awards ceremony immediately following the race at the church.
- Juneteenth Festival: Starts at 12 pm at the Irondequoit Town Hall after the race.

🏆 Age Groups & Awards
Prizes will be presented to the 1st place overall male and female finishers. Age group awards will be presented to the 1st and 2nd place male and female runner in each of the age groups shown below. All participants will have the option of downloading custom finisher certificates from the event page!
- Age Groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older.
🚗 Parking Information
- Free Parking: Plenty of free parking available at the church in the St. Kateri parking lot.
- Access: Enter via Kings Hwy South.

⚠️ Cancellation Policy
In the event of foul weather, public safety concerns, or any other reason deemed necessary by race organizers (ex: state of emergency, shelter-in-place, limit on social gatherings, permit issues, etc), we want runners to know up front that we reserve the right to reschedule the event date if needed OR convert this to a virtual event. There will be no refunds.
