🏃♂️ Event Overview
On Saturday January 25, 2025, Fleet Feet Fort Wayne will be hosting a Community Pantry Ruck Run & Walk as an act of solidarity, not charity. We are asking the community to come together and help fill the Local Forward Indiana Community Pantries with non-perishable food items and supplies. These community pantries are designed to provide 24/7 access to free food. They are community sustaining and are available for anyone and everyone in need.
🎒 Participation Details
- Backpack Requirement: Fill a backpack large or small with non-perishable food items and necessities.
- Course Design: You will run or walk a course specially designed by Fleet Feet to various Community Food Pantry Locations.
- Donation Process: Take 1-2 non-perishable food items out of your backpack and place them in the Community Food Pantry.
- Continuing the Journey: Follow the map to each pantry designated, emptying your backpack of food items.
🥫 Pantry Engagement
There will be eight pantries to fill, and your backpack should contain approximately 16 non-perishable food items (2 per community food pantry cabinet).
🍽️ Location and Brunch
- Starting Point: We will start and finish at Bravas Restaurant 3416 Fairfield Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46807-1823.
- Brunch Invitation: After the Ruck Run you are welcomed to join us at Bravas for Brunch.
- Cash Reminder: Make sure to bring Extra Cash for the Brunch: brunch is on you.
- Menu Announcement: We will post the Brunch Menu that Bravas will be serving on that day.
🏅 Awards and Raffles
We will be awarding prizes and there will be a raffle after the Ruck Run/Walk.
