🏃♂️ Race Overview
- Gun start & Chip finish: For both the 5K and 10 Miler.
- New option: Runners can now participate in both the 5K and 10 Miler for extra miles.
- Kid's participation: There is no designated kid's fun run, but children are welcome to join in the 5K.
- T-Shirts: Guaranteed only through March 14, 2025.
🎽 Packet Pick-Up & Awards
- Pick-up times: March 21, 2025, from 3 PM until 6 PM at the Trail Office.
- Awards announcement: Awards will be posted online, and trophies awarded on-site.
- Water stations: Available at the 5K and 10-mile turnaround and at the finish line.
- Course start: Begins on Quarry Road and transitions to a wide gravel trail.
🏞️ Course Details
- 5K Course: Starts at Quarry Road, continues through the parking lot and onto the trail, with specific turnarounds.
- 10 Mile Course: An out-and-back route entirely on the Foote Trail with views of scenic lakes and a private bridge.
- Location: Trail Head is at 807 Battleground Avenue, Kings Mountain, NC.
- Coordinates: Lat: 35-13-49 / Long: 81-21-02.
💰 Registration Fees
- 5K & 10M without T-shirt: $20.
- 5K & 10M with T-shirt: $25.
- Awards: Trophies for top three Male and Female runners in both races.
- Age Groups: U-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ (Overall winners are not eligible for age group awards).
🗺️ Directions & Parking
- From Charlotte: I-85 Exit 10 onto US-74 West, exit US-74 Business (King Street) then left on Battleground Ave.
- From Spartanburg: I-85 Exit 8 onto US-161 North, left on Gold, then left on Battleground Ave.
- From Asheville: US-74 exit NC-216 South onto Piedmont Ave., then bear right on Battleground Ave.
- Parking: Available in the grass along Quarry Road or across from the Trail Head in a gravel lot, with volunteers directing you.
