Celebrating 49 years of running in Bidwell Park in Chico CA this race has become a chico tradition for so many! We with 3 distances offered we are pleased to host the Bidwell Classic again in 2025!
We are excited to offer a cash purse again for the top male and female in each event!
🎓 Benefits Student Athletes
- Support Local Athletes: A substantial portion of the race entry fees go to the local high school cross country running programs.
- Additional Donations: If you would like to make an additional donation to the schools, please do so on the donation portion of the registration.

📅 Registration Details
- Online Registration: Closes at 8:00am on Friday February 28th, 2025.
- In-Person Registration: Available during packet pickup.
- No Race Day Registration: No in person registration will be available on race day.
- Packet Pickup: Available Friday February 28th from 10:00am-4:00pm, and race day from 6:45am - 7:45am.
⏰ Start Date & Times
When: Saturday March 1st, 2025
Where: Lower Bidwell Park/ Sycamore Field
Starting time is 8:00am for the 5k and 8:10 for the 10k and Half Marathon.
🎽 Race Information
- Entry Fees: Non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Race Shirts: Every registered runner will receive a 2025 race shirt if registered before February 7th.
- Course Certification: The 5k and 10k are flat, paved, and free of traffic.
- Awards: Age group awards available and cash prizes for top finishers.
📍 Directions and Parking
To the course: Enter Chico via Highway 99. The park will be closed to vehicle traffic on race day, so find a parking spot on or near Woodland Ave.
To Fleet Feet packet pickup: Follow directions from Highway 99 west on Highway 32 to Main St.
⏱️ Timing
All races will have a gun start and a chip finish. Gun start for the 5k will be at 8:00am and for the 10k and Half Marathon at 8:10am.
💧 Aid Stations and Restrooms
There will be multiple aid stations and restrooms available throughout the course for participant convenience.
🏆 Awards for Top Finishers
We will be offering a CASH PRIZE for the top male and female for each race! Awards will be held post-race for each event.
Age group winners will receive a Brooks running hat, and all Half Marathon runners will receive finisher medals.
