⚠️ Cancellation Notice

Unfortunately, The Chico Stage Race committee voted to cancel the Chico Stage Race due to low registration numbers, which means the Downtown Mile will not proceed as originally planned. We hope to be able to make it happen again next year!

🎉 Event Overview

We are so pleased to be able to bring back a fun and fast one mile race in the heart of downtown Chico!

Join us for Chico's only downtown foot race, the Downtown Mile! That's right, one very fast mile! Test yourself to see just how hard you can push: we'll be there to cheer you on!

📝 Race Registration and Packet Pickup Information

• Registration Time: Race day registration and bib pick up will be available on race morning beginning at 9:30 am - Noon at Fleet Feet Chico (241 Main Street).
• Start Time: The race is scheduled to begin around 12:15 pm (ish). We ask that you are patient with the start time as we are at the mercy of the Stage Race.
• Participant Limit: This race will max out at 250 participants! So, sign up early!
• Fees: Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

💵 Registration Costs

• Pre-Registration: $20.00
• In-Person and Online Registration: $25.00 on race day
• Online Closure: Online registration will close at 8:00 am on April 6.
• In-Person Closure: In-person registration will close at Noon (sharp) on race day.

🏆 Awards

Awards will be presented to the Overall Male and Overall Female as well as 3-deep in the following age groups (both male and female): 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

⏱️ Timing

Timing will be done by The Bizz Running Co. This race will have gun start and a chip finish, so feel free to space out. If you are racing for an overall placement, you must toe the line! (Based on Gun time/first to cross the line)

Gun start for the race will be at 12:15 pm (give or take the bike race).
