Get the Slack Out 5k & Beer Mile

🎉 Race Overview

Looking for something different to do on a Sunday Morning? How about a 5k and FREE BEER? Come out and join us for the inaugural Get The Slack Out 5k. This race takes place at Dennisville Recreational Park followed by a post race party at Slack Tide Brewing. The race is on paved trails in the park. The brewery is located less than 4 miles from the park.

🍺 Beer Mile

After the 5k we will be having a Beer Mile at the brewery.

📋 Beer Mile Rules

• Format: Each competitor drinks four beers and runs four laps (start with chugging a beer, then run a lap, then beer, then lap, and so on).
• Transition Area: Beer must be consumed before the lap begins within the transition area, which is a 9 meter zone.
• Start Procedure: The race begins with competitors lined up on the mile starting line, drinking the first beer in the transition zone. Competitors can walk/move while drinking, but all beer must be consumed in the transition area before running a lap.
• Penalty: Competitors who vomit before finishing must complete one penalty lap at the end of the race. Vomiting more than once during the race still only requires one penalty lap.
