Train to run the Capital City Marathon or Half Marathon in Olympia WA.
🤝 Program Details
- Organizers: This program is run jointly by Club Oly Road Runners, Capital City Marathon and South Sound Running / Fleet Feet.
- Purpose: It is a training program to prepare runners for the Capital City Marathon or Half Marathon in Olympia WA.
📅 Training Schedule
- Kickoff Meeting: Join us on Saturday, January 11, at 8:00 am at South Sound Running / Fleet Feet for an introductory breakfast meeting, where details of the training runs and general training advice will be given out.
- First Training Runs: The first training runs will be on Saturday, January 18, where we will start with a 7 mile run for marathon trainees and a 6 mile run for half marathon trainees.
- Requirements: Participants will need to be able to run these distances by the start of the program.
🎤 Coaching and Support
- Coaching Talks: Coaching talks will be given before the runs on the Saturdays when there are shorter runs.
- Post-Run Amenities: There will be food and drinks offered after the longer runs, and we hope to have massages available after some of the longer runs.
💰 Registration Information
- Fee: Registration fee is $75.00 which also includes a dedicated running shirt and a full year Club Oly membership for 2025 in addition to the training program.
- Exclusions: The fee does NOT include entry to the races at Cap City Marathon.
- Shirt Guarantee: If you register after January 4, we cannot guarantee that you will receive a shirt or that it will be the size that you choose.
