Olympia Lakefair Races - Half Marathon, 8K & 3K

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

The Olympia Lakefair Races are part of a weekend-long running festival that features a Half Marathon, 8K and 3K: taking runners on routes that will circle around the town of Olympia and beyond into Tumwater and Thurston County.

📍 Starting & Finishing Points

• Starting Line: All three races start on 5th Avenue in downtown Olympia.
• Finishing Line: All races finish on 5th Avenue in front of Heritage Park.
• Race Course: The 3K and 8K events circle Capitol Lake, with the 8K continuing into Tumwater Historical Park before returning.
• Course Design: Both courses are flat and fast.

🌲 Half Marathon Details

• Route: The Half Marathon heads briefly through downtown Olympia, then along the Woodland Trail and Chehalis Western Trail biking paths.
• Scenic Experience: The course continues on rural streets and a short trail and tour of Priest Point Park.
• Return Path: It then heads back along East Bay Drive and runs through downtown Olympia to the finish line at Heritage Park.
• Trail Features: Runners will enjoy tree-lined trails and scenic landscapes while enjoying flat and narrow paved trails throughout.

🎉 Festival Activities

• Post-Race Festivities: Once runners have completed the course, they can enjoy festival activities that are held all around Heritage Park.
• Available Amenities: The festival includes food and beer tents, carnival rides, booths, a parade and more.
• Hospitality Sponsor: Well80, the events hospitality sponsor, will also be open for meals a few blocks from the Finish line.
• Organizers: The Olympia Lakefair Races are brought to you by the Lake Run Organization and the Rotary Club of Olympia.
