🏃♂️ Join Us for the UNC Oral Cancer 5K Run/Walk
Join the UNC Student National Dental Association in the annual Oral Cancer 5K Run/Walk on Sunday April 6th, 2025 at 7:30AM!
🎗️ A Purposeful Event
- Honoring: In honor of UNC Adam’s School of Dentistry’s very own oral cancer survivor, Dr. Scott Eidson.
- Donation: All proceeds will be donated to the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.
- Support: To provide accessible and affordable treatment to head and neck cancer patients throughout North Carolina.
- Impact: Your participation helps patients afford crucial treatment expenses.
📅 Event Details
- When: Sunday April 6th, 2025 at 7:30AM EST (rain or shine)
- Where: Old Well, 180 E Cameron Ave, Chapel Hill, NC 27514
- Parking: Any lot nearby is open and free on Sundays (ex. Swain Lot, Hanes Lot) or park on Franklin St.
- Race Route: The running route will be the Franklin 5K, a USATF-certified course with electronic chip timing.

- Education: Self-screening education available.
- Fun Activities: Games and activities suitable for the whole family!
💵 Registration Information
- Cost: $25.00 + $3.25 processing fees (Pre-registration by Friday, April 1st).
- Day-of Registration: $30.00 + $3.25 processing fees starting at 6:30am on April 6th.
- Check-in: Day-of registration will be available from 7:00-7:30AM.
- T-Shirt: Guaranteed for pre-registrants by Thursday, March 15th.
🏆 Awards
Prizes will be given to the overall first, second, and third place runners, as well as the top male and female runners in each age group: under 19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.
📝 Payment Information
The website's processing fee is reduced if you register more people per transaction. For example, if you register your friend and yourself in one transaction, the fee is reduced from $3.25 to $1.62.
