Join the UNC Student National Dental Association in the annual Oral Cancer 5K Run/Walk on Sunday April 12th, 2025 at 7:30AM!
❤️ Cause and Impact
- Honoring: In honor of UNC Adam’s School of Dentistry’s very own oral cancer survivor, Dr. Scott Eidson.
- Proceeds: All proceeds will be donated to the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.
- Support: 100% of the proceeds go towards helping patients cover treatment expenses.
- Impact: Your support is important for patients' abilities to afford treatment.
📅 Event Details
- When: Sunday April 12th, 2025 at 7:30AM EST (rain or shine)
- Where: Old Well, 180 E Cameron Ave, Chapel Hill, NC 27514
- Parking: Free parking available in surrounding lots (e.g., Swain Lot, Hanes Lot).
- Race Route: USATF-certified Franklin 5K course with electronic chip timing: strollers and wagons welcome.

📝 Payment & Registration
- Pre-registration: $25.00 + $3.25 processing fees (by April 1st).
- Day-of Registration: $30.00 + $3.25 processing fees (starting at 6:30AM on race day).
- Check-in: Day-of registration available from 7:00-7:30AM at check-in table.
👕 T-Shirt Information
- Guarantee: Participants who pre-register by April 1st will be guaranteed a free T-shirt.
- Availability: T-shirts as available for those registering after April 1st.
- Distribution: Packets and T-shirts will be distributed on race morning.
🏆 Awards
Prizes will be awarded to the overall first, second, and third place runners, as well as for the top male and female runners in each age group: under 19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.
