Join the UNC Student National Dental Association in the annual Oral Cancer 5K Run/Walk on Sunday April 6th, 2025 at 7:30AM!

🎗️ About the Cause

• Honor: In honor of UNC Adam’s School of Dentistry’s very own oral cancer survivor, Dr. Scott Eidson.
• Proceeds: All proceeds will be donated to Dr. Aimin Peng's research lab within ASOD which primarily focuses on oral cancer and DNA repair.
• Impact: Your support - whether by signing up and running, donating, or both - has such an important impact on advancing research about oral cancer.
• Gratitude: Thank you for being a part of the solution today!

📅 Event Details

• When: Sunday April 6, 2025 at 7:30AM EST (rain or shine)
• Where: Bynum Hall, 222 East Cameron Ave, Chapel Hill NC 27514
• Parking: Any lot nearby is open and free on Sundays (ex. Swain Lot, Hanes Lot). You can also park anywhere on Franklin St and walk over!
• Race Route: The running route will be the Franklin 5K, a USATF-certified course. Electronic chip timing will be used. Strollers and wagons welcome.

🎉 Activities

• Education: Self-screening education and fun games/activities for the whole family!
• Registration: Day-of registration will be available 7:00-7:30AM on race-day at the check-in table.
• T-Shirt: Participants who pre-register by Monday, March 17th will be guaranteed a free T-shirt.
• Awards: Prizes will be given to the overall first, second, and third place male and female runners, as well as the top three male and female runners in each age group: under 19, 20-34, 35-49, 50-64, 65+.

💸 Payment & Registration

• Fees: $25.00 + $3.25 processing fees * (Pre-registration by Friday, April 4th)
• Day-of Fees: $30.00 + $3.25 processing fees * (Day-of registration on Sunday, April 6th starting at 6:30am)
• Processing Fee Information: The website's processing fee is reduced if you register more people per transaction. For example, if you register your friend and yourself in one transaction, the fee is reduced from $3.25 to $1.62.
• Thank You: Thank you for helping cover the fees for this transaction - your help ensures that the full $25 amount can go towards our patients!
