2nd Annual CoastalLIFE 5K Run/Walk

🏃‍♀️ Race Overview

Join NS PROMOS/Run Myrtle Beach for the 2nd ANNUAL CoastalLIFE 5K! We've also added in a Virtual option for those unable to join us in person. The race will be exclusively on the campus of Coastal Carolina University in Conway, SC! We are excited to partner with CoastalLIFE and look forward to a great event for everyone!

👩‍🎓 About CoastalLIFE Program

CoastalLIFE is an individualized, residential, non-degree program for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The program provides supports in the following areas:

• Academic Instruction
• Career Education and Training
• Independent Living
• Social and Community Engagement

The program's philosophy is founded on inclusion, integration, and individualization based on each student's interests and support needs. CoastalLIFE students have access to opportunities offered to other CCU students such as participation in CCU courses, on-campus housing, student organizations, sporting events, work study, and commencement.

🏅 Race Information

• Start Times: 8:00am 5K (chip timed)
• 1 Mile Start: 8:10am (self-timed)
• Kids' Dash: 9:10am (self-timed)
• Course Rules: No water stop on course: animals and unauthorized wheeled devices are not permitted.

🎽 Race Swag

• Shirts: Participant shirt for all races (while supplies last)
• Medals: Custom designed Made in the USA medal for all races
• Race Bibs: Race bib for all races
• Virtual Race Swag: Will be mailed within 2 weeks post race

📝 Registration

• Method: Registration is only available online
• Deadline: Closes Sunday, March 30 at 7:00am

📦 Packet Pickup Information

• Saturday: March 29 from 2:00-3:30pm at Native Sons (1519 Executive Ave, MB)
• Sunday: March 30 from 7:00-7:45am at Brooks Stadium near the finish line

🚗 Parking

• Status: TBD

• Location: Brooks Football Stadium

🏆 Awards/Recognition 5K only

• Overall Awards: Male and Female 1,2,3 place
• Masters Awards: Overall Masters Male and Female 1 place
• Age Groups: Male and Female 1,2,3 place across various age ranges
• Note: No awards for 1 Mile or Kids' Dash
