The 27th Annual Long Run 5K starts and finishes at JL Long Middle School, 6116 Reiger Ave, Dallas, TX 75214.
🎉 Purpose of the Event
The Long Run is a fundraiser supporting Dallas ISD’s JL Long Middle School. This year marks our 26th run! The campus PTA organizes the annual event and proceeds are used to bridge critical funding gaps in the JL Long Middle School budget, including:
- Sensory Items: and games for the Special Education Department
- Peace Pantry: Funding needed to support food/clothing provided to needy students/families
- Equipment: for Zoo Crew and gaming equipment for Esports
- Staff Support: and curriculum training
- Science Labs: Equipment and materials for the Athletics Department
- Educational Materials: Supplemental books and resources
- Competition Fees: Entry fees and transportation for Long’s Math and Science Team, athletic and music competitions
- College Culture: Transportation for student field trips to promote college-bound culture
- Campus Beautification: Student gardens and campus improvements
- Orientation: 6th grade “Buc Camp” orientation
