📍 Location

The 27th Annual Long Run 5K starts and finishes at JL Long Middle School, 6116 Reiger Ave, Dallas, TX 75214.

🎓 Fundraising Purpose

The Long Run is a fundraiser supporting Dallas ISD’s JL Long Middle School. The campus PTA organizes the annual event and proceeds are used to bridge critical funding gaps in the JL Long Middle School budget, including:

• Sensory Items: Games for the Special Education Department
• Peace Pantry: Funding needed to support food/clothing provided to needy students/families
• Equipment: For Zoo Crew and gaming equipment for Esports
• Curriculum Support: Funding for staff support and curriculum training
• Science Labs: Equipment and materials for science labs and the Athletics Department
• Educational Materials: Supplemental books and educational materials
• Competition Fees: Entry fees and transportation for Long’s Math and Science Team, athletic and music competitions
• Field Trip Transportation: For student field trips to promote college-bound culture
• Campus Beautification: Student gardens, campus beautification and 6th grade “Buc Camp” orientation
