Event Highlight: If you like whiskey, wine, and running 5k races, then this event is a perfect match for you. Welcome to the first annual Whiskey and Wine 5K.
Tastings: Participants will be able to try a different whiskey and/or wine every half mile along the 5K course. Thatβs 6 different tastings throughout the course!
Take Home: After completing the 5K course and tastings, you will get to choose which bottle of whiskey or wine to take home.
Unique Flavors: We will provide three different wines and three different whiskies for your enjoyment on the course, with flavors kept a secret until the event.
πββοΈ Race Course
Distance: The course is a one loop, 5K course, actually measuring 3.4 to 3.5 miles.
Markings: The course will be clearly marked with signs and flagging tape.
Location: It will follow the Lunker Lake Trail at Oak Mountain State Park.
π Event Rules
Wristband Requirement: All participants will receive a custom wristband at packet pick-up and must wear it while running.
Tasting Eligibility: If you are not wearing your wristband at a tasting, you will not be able to taste any whiskey or wine.
Age Restriction: All participants must be 21 or older. There will be no alcohol sales at this event.
π Race Location and Packet Pickup
Venue: The Whiskey and Wine 5K will be held at Oak Mountain State Park in Pelham, Alabama.
Packet Pickup: Race day packet pickup will be at the Fishing Center Pavilion from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM.
ID Verification: Participants must bring their photo ID for positive identification and age verification.
Event Start: A pre-race briefing will take place at 3:45 PM, and the event begins at 4:00 PM sharp.
π Awards, Swag
No Traditional Awards: There will not be any awards given for finishing 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in this event.
Finisher Gift: If you liked the wine you tasted at the fourth tasting, you get to take a bottle home as a gift.
Limited Bottles: We will have as many bottles as runners. If 60 runners show up, we will have 60 bottles as finisher's medals.
Fast Finish: The faster you run, the better chance you have to take home your choice of bottle.
π§ Aid Stations
Midway Aid Station: One aid station will be set up at the halfway point of the course.
Finish Line Aid Station: Another aid station will be set up at the end of the course.
Water Availability: We will provide water for participants at both aid stations.

No Refunds: No refunds will be given to any participants for this event.
Entry Transfer: If you need to withdraw, find another runner to take your spot and email us to transfer your entry.
